Abstract

Abstract

Oil palm plants (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) are one of Indonesia's leading commodities which have quite high productivity as a producer of vegetable oil, as well as being a source of foreign exchange for the country and employment for the community. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of urea, KCl and chicken manure on the growth of oil palm seedlings. The research location was conducted on Jalan Tapak Lebar I Rt.04, Sidorejo Village, Lubuklinggau Barat II District, Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra, from September to December 2024. Treatment P1 = No treatment, P2 = Urea fertilizer 5 g/plant, P3 = KCl fertilizer 5 g/plant, P4 = Chicken manure 250 g/plant, P5 = Urea fertilizer 5 g + KCl 5 g/plant, P6 = Urea fertilizer 5 g + chicken manure 250 g/plant, and P7 = KCl fertilizer 5 g + chicken manure 250 g/plant. Each sample treatment consisted of 3 seedlings and was repeated 3 times. Using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The administration of urea fertilizer at a dose of 5 g/plant and chicken manure at a dose of 250 g/plant gave the best effect on all observation variables, namely: increase in height, increase in the number of leaf stalks, stem diameter, number of leaflets, length of leaflets.

Abstract

Curly chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the strategic horticultural commodities in Indonesia which has high economic value and plays an important role in meeting the food needs of the community. Biochar is a soil amendment with a high pore structure, which can increase water retention capacity, improve soil aeration, increase cation exchange capacity, and reduce nutrient loss due to leaching. he research was conducted at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Plant and Animal Sciences and the integrated laboratory at Campus B, Jalan Jenderal Besar Suharto KM 13, Lubuk Kupang, Lubuklinggau Selatan I, from February to May 2026. Using a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of two factors. Factor 1: Type of Soil Media (P); P0 = topsoil, P1 = peat soil, P2 = ex-coal mining soil, P3 = marginal soil. Factor 2 Ameliorant Dose (K) K0 = no ameliorant (control), K1 = biochar 200 g/polybag, K2 = biochar 300 g/polybag, and K3 = biochar 400 g/polybag. Each treatment consisted of 3 sample plants repeated 3 times, the number of sample plants in each block was 16 treatments x 3 sample plants x 3 replications. Based on the research results, the type of planting medium and biochar dosage had the best effect on plant height, number of branches, flowering age, number of fruits, and fruit weight.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of manure type and KCl fertilizer dosage on the vegetative growth of sweet corn plants. The research was conducted in R Rejosari Village, Tugumulyo District, Musi Rawas Regency, from June to August 2024. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) consisting of 2 treatment factors and repeated 3 times. The observation data were analyzed using Analysis of Varians (ANOVA) using the R Studio program. f the results of the analysis of variance test are significantly tested at the 5% level, and if the results of the analysis of variance test are very significantly tested at 1%. then it will be continued with the honest significant difference test (HSD). The treatments that will be applied are as follows: The first treatment is the type of manure (M) which consists of 3 types of levels, namely: M1 = Cow Manure Dose 1 kg, M2 = Goat Manure Dose 1 kg, M3 = Chicken Manure Dose 1 kg. The dose of potassium fertilizer (M) consists of 3 types of levels, namely: P1 = Dose 5 g / polybag, P2 = Dose 7.5 g / polybag, P3 = Dose 10 g / polybag. Chicken manure has the best effect on plant height, number of leaves per plant, stem diameter, wet biomass weight, and dry biomass weight of plants
