Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of product quality, price, and service on consumers’ purchase intention of Napoleon cake as a typical souvenir from Medan. The research adopts a quantitative approach with data analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling, involving 100 respondents. The findings reveal that product quality has a positive and significant influence on consumers’ purchase intention. Similarly, price and service both show positive and significant effects on consumers’ purchase intention. Simultaneously, product quality, price, and service collectively have a positive and significant impact on consumers’ purchase intention toward Medan Napoleon cake. R Square value of 0.197 (19.7%) indicates that the variation in purchase intention can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 80.3% is influenced by other factors not included in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of business capital, labour size, the educational attainment of entrepreneurs, and access to finance on the growth of UMKM turnover in Plaju Darat Subdistrict, Palembang City. The study adopts a quantitative approach using secondary data for the period 2013-2024 obtained from Statistics Indonesia and the Palembang City Office of Cooperatives and UMKM. Multiple linear regression is employed as the analytical method. The findings indicate that business capital and labour size have a positive and statistically significant effect on UMKM turnover growth, while the educational attainment of entrepreneurs has no significant effect. Meanwhile, access to finance has a negative and statistically significant effect, indicating that the short-term burden of formal financing constrains UMKM turnover performance. Simultaneously, all four independent variables significantly affect UMKM turnover growth, with the model demonstrating a very high level of explanatory power. These results underscore the importance of strengthening internal production factors and adopting more adaptive financing policies to promote sustainable UMKM growth.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the way public policy is implemented in Indonesia, including in efforts to alleviate poverty through social assistance programs. This article aims to analyze the implementation of public policies in poverty alleviation in the digital era, with a case study on the national social assistance program for the period 2021–2026. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through documentation studies and secondary data analysis sourced from official government institutions and nationally indexed scientific literature. The results of the study show that the national poverty rate has experienced a fairly consistent downward trend, from 10.14 percent in March 2021 to 8.25 percent in September 2025, in line with the strengthening of data governance through the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) which integrates Integrated Social Welfare Data, Socio-Economic Registration, and data on the acceleration of extreme poverty elimination. Digitizing aid distribution through artificial intelligence-based verification and Prosperous Family Card accounts has proven to be able to increase the accuracy of targets, speed, and transparency of aid distribution, although it still faces challenges in the form of digital infrastructure gaps, accuracy of population data matching, and limited human resource capacity at the regional level. This article recommends strengthening digital literacy for beneficiary families, accelerating cross-agency data synchronization, and providing a responsive complaint mechanism as a next step in improving digital-based social assistance policies in Indonesia.
