Abstract

Abstract— Indonesia is one of the countries that ensures that its people use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the Covid-19 pandemic. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used by people outside the room or when in public rooms because the spread of this virus is very fast, where Covid-19 can be transmitted from one person to another through droplets. Pandemic Product Selection is an example of a decision-making problem based on many factors or semi-structured criteria. This study aims to analyze and determine which type of mask fits the criteria of the alternatives in the ranking using method the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weighted Product (WP) methods. The criteria chosen in this method are price, mask coating, repeatability, filtration effectiveness, quality, appearance, suitability of the face shield, and comfort. Based on the analysis conducted using the SAW and WP methods, it was found that the type of mask that was the most effective and best used during a pandemic was the type of medical mask. The choice of alternative was obtained based on the calculation of the SAW method with the largest value of 0.6875, while using the WP method the largest value was obtained, namely 0.2810. Determination of the best alternative is obtained by involving the criteria chosen by the author for further analysis using available literature source.
