Abstract

Improper management of natural resources all this time has caused bad impact towards human beings, such as floods, landslide, forest fire, air contamination and  other concerning condition. One of the triggers of these impacts is that management of natural resources done by the government has been conducted without involving the people around the resources itself. This article will portray the practices of local wisdom on how  people in Kalimantan manage the natural resources. The identification of the local wisdom is expected to stimulate the government to change the paradigm of natural resources management by using a continuing development concept with regard to continuity, balance and preservation principles supported by applying traditional knowledge and wisdom of local society.  Key Word: Sumber Daya Alam, Kearifan Lokal

Abstract

Implementation of free and open election represents one of the prerequisites of a governance, which is categorized as democratic governance. Since 2005 more than 50% of the total area in Indonesia have carried out direct election of district head. However, various problems still emerge. Money politic issue, conflict between supporter, collision of campaign regulation up to the close opportunity for civil candidate (independent) are some problems which are still faced in the implementation of direct election. This article tries to identify and analyze the stages of direct election implementation as well as to compare the practice and problems which emerge in the execution, especially in East Kalimantan. In fact, from result of the analysis, there are still many weakness and insufficiency either both from the aspect of regulation or in the execution of direct election which must be straighten up, either from the aspects of law, implementation instrument or technical during the execution  Keywords: Direct Election of District Head, Local Democracy.

Abstract

Corruption has damaged the condition of a nation. The success of combating corruption in Indonesia depends on the effectiveness of President's Yudoyono Administration's prevention and prosecution. This study intents to analyze the level of effectiveness of Yudoyono's handling of corruption. After analyze the two variables, it was concluded that the efforts to handle corruption by Yudoyono's administration is sufficiently effective and increased performance to handling corruption.  Keywords: Corruption, Effectiveness, Policy

Abstract

Lahirnya Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2009 tentang pelayanan publik merupakan salah satu jaminan hukum terhadap penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik. Dalam Undang –undang tersebut pada pasal 23 ayat (1) menyatakan bahwa dalam rangka memberikan dukungan informasi terhadap penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik perlu diselenggarakan Sistem Informasi yang bersifat nasional. sedangkan dalam ayat (4) diungkapkan bahwa penyelenggara memiliki kewajiban untuk mengelola sistem informasi yang terdiri atas Sistem Informasi Elektronik dan Non elektronik yang sekurang-kurangnya meliputi : profil penyelenggara, profil pelaksana, standar pelayanan, maklumat pelayanan, pengelola pengaduan dan penilaian kinerja. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknologi informasi memiliki peran yang krusial bagi setiap penyelenggara informasi publik.
