Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the students’ perception on the use of Mind Mapping in learning writing. Mixed method was employed to describe the students’ perception on the use of Mind Mapping in learning writing and the advantages and disadvantages of Mind Mapping in learning writing. The researcher took class B who joined writing IV class in academic years 2014 as the research subjects. This research used questionnaire and interview as the instruments for collecting the data. Moreover, The research findings showed that there were positive and negative perception on the use of Mind Mapping in learning writing. The majority of the students had positive perception on the use of Mind Mapping in learning writing and they perceived that Mind Mapping is an effective way to help them to organize the ideas in learning writing. Furthermore, the use of Mind Mapping in learning writing gives three advantages, namely: (1) Mind Mapping eased the students to think and organize their ideas before writing something; (2) it facilitated the students to develop their ideas and (3) it helped the students remember better about the ideas. The findings also showed two disadvantages, namely: (1) Mind Mapping took longer time to create and organize the ideas; and (2) it needed computer access to create a Mind Mapping.

Abstract

Sumatra’s Elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus) including one of the endangered animals and is the largest animal is still alive and could only be encountered on the island of Sumatra. Form of elephant population dynamics influenced food availability, water availability and mineral salts. The results showed that the sign of Sumatra’s Elephant often encountered in the area of ​​plantations, secondary forests and shrubs. Estimates as many that 49 elephant dung and 2450 pellets with an area of ​​0.02 km² transect. Elephant population density as much as 0,966 head/0,02km2. Estimates of the total number of Sumatran Elephants using dung circumference measurement method (dung) Is estimated at about 20 head. Feed plants identified as many that 29 species of elephants consisting of 16 family. Plant seedlings elephants feed as many that 11 species and 18 herbaceous species. Plants that are found for levels of herbaceous Poaceae and Asteraceae tribe while the seedlings are found plants belonging to the family Myrtaceae, Moraceae, and Euphorbiaceae. Elephant feed production as much as 11,108 kg / ha. Elephant feed requirements with an approximate calculation of the number of elephants 0,48 head / ha requires feed 144 kg / ha. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh promosi penjualan dan model perhiasan terhadap keputusan pembelian perhiasan pada PT. Pegadaian Galeri 24 Distro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda melalui bantuan program SPSS versi 27. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 97 responden yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling, yaitu konsumen yang pernah melakukan pembelian perhiasan di Galeri 24. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert, kemudian diuji validitas, reliabilitas, serta asumsi klasik sebelum dilakukan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi penjualan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05. Hal ini berarti semakin intensif promosi dilakukan, semakin tinggi kecenderungan konsumen untuk membeli. Selanjutnya, model perhiasan juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa variasi dan desain perhiasan yang menarik dapat meningkatkan minat beli konsumen. Hasil uji simultan (uji F) membuktikan bahwa promosi penjualan dan model perhiasan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, dengan kontribusi variabel independen yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar  40 %. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa PT. Pegadaian Galeri 24 perlu mengoptimalkan strategi promosi penjualan yang kreatif dan tepat sasaran serta terus menghadirkan model perhiasan yang inovatif agar mampu meningkatkan daya tarik konsumen, memperkuat keputusan pembelian, dan menjaga daya saing perusahaan di industri perhiasan yang semakin kompetitif.
