Abstract

Traffic density in the city of Medan, especially in the District of Medan City, has caused serious problems in various fields such as impaired travel comfort, travel boredom, travel fatigue, waste of time and material. With some of these problems, a decision support system is needed that can help reduce traffic congestion. In the decision-making process involving many criteria and many alternatives, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is often used as a problem-solving method. Decision-making is done by giving the value of perception as weighted by a decision maker or expert. The results of this study is the establishment of a decision support system to determine the level of traffic congestion in Medan City Sub-district by using AHP so as to provide an information for the users of the road to reduce the congestion level in the future. Keywords: Congestion, traffic, District of Medan City, Decision support system, AHP.

Abstract

The National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) is a crucial pathway for prospective students to access higher education; however, the uncertainty surrounding admission outcomes often causes anxiety among prospective students. This study aims to develop an SNBP admission prediction model based on logistic regression using academic data from students at the Darul Arafah Raya Islamic Boarding School. The method used is binary logistic regression with parameter estimation via the Newton-Raphson method. The research data consists of 261 academic records of students from 2022 to 2025, divided into training and testing datasets. Model evaluation was conducted using accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score, and AUC-ROC metrics. The results show that the model achieved convergence at the seventh iteration with an accuracy rate of 81.25 percent. The precision and recall values were 82.35 percent, respectively, while the AUC-ROC value was 0.9049, which falls into the “good classification” category. It can be concluded that the logistic regression model is effective for predicting SNBP graduation based on average report card scores and is suitable for implementation as a decision support system for students in estimating their admission chances.

Abstract

Proses absensi pada kegiatan magang sering kali masih dilakukan secara manual atau menggunakan aplikasi berbasis web yang belum dilengkapi dengan validasi lokasi secara akurat, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan kecurangan, seperti melakukan absensi dari luar area kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem absensi magang berbasis geolocation dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan Prototyping. Sistem ini memanfaatkan Geolocation API untuk memperoleh koordinat lokasi pengguna serta menggunakan arsitektur serverless Firebase Cloud Functions sebagai backend dalam memproses data kehadiran. Validasi lokasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan posisi pengguna terhadap titik lokasi kantor menggunakan perhitungan jarak berdasarkan rumus Haversine. Pengujian dilakukan melalui tiga skenario, yaitu absensi di dalam radius, di luar radius, dan saat izin lokasi ditolak. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi lokasi dengan akurasi tinggi dan menolak absensi di luar area yang ditentukan. Dengan demikian, sistem ini efektif meningkatkan keaslian data kehadiran serta mengurangi potensi kecurangan dalam absensi magang.

Abstract

This research is a type of development research. The product development model adopts a software development model consisting of (1) Analysis of software requirements, (2) design, (3) writing code and (4) testing. Data collection techniques are done by observation, interviews and questionnaires. The testing phase is carried out with product validation by experts, testing on the first user (lecturer) and testing on the end user (student).Keywords : Learning Media, Mobile Applications, Algorithms and Programming.
