Abstract

Data is an important aspect that builds the industrial revolution 4.0 ecosystem. As for the business scope, data is a resource in determining the right decision. In this case, all parties in the organization must be able to communicate various kinds of data related to the business so that an idea can be conveyed properly to other colleagues. This article is a conceptual study with the aim of providing an analysis of important concepts that support the effectiveness of data storytelling as a form of business communication in the industrial revolution 4.0 era. The method used in this research is literature review which has topic relevance with storytelling data. The results state that in supporting data storytelling, a person must have narrative skills, data literacy and multimedia literacy. These abilities must be integrated with each other so that one can tell about facts through structured data visualization. Abstrak Data merupakan aspek penting dalam membangun ekosistem revolusi industri 4.0. Adapun untuk ruang lingkup bisnis, data merupakan sumber daya dalam menentukan keputusan yang tepat. Dalam hal ini, semua pihak dalam organisasi harus mampu mengkomunikasikan berbagai macam data yang terkait dengan bisnis agar suatu ide dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada rekan-rekan lainnya. Artikel ini merupakan kajian konseptual dengan tujuan memberikan analisis tentang konsep-konsep penting yang mendukung efektivitas data storytelling sebagai bentuk komunikasi bisnis di era revolusi industri 4.0. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur yang memiliki relevansi topik dengan data storytelling. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa dalam mendukung penceritaan data seseorang harus memiliki kemampuan naratif, literasi data, dan literasi multimedia. Kemampuan tersebut harus terintegrasi satu sama lain sehingga seseorang dapat mengetahui fakta melalui visualisasi data terstruktur.

Abstract

Kapasitas penelitian dan pengembangan sektor industri memiliki peran dalam peningkatan ekonomi negara sehingga perlu terus dipantau untuk meningkatkan daya saing negara. Statistik litbang merupakan salah satu indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur sejauh apa kapasitas suatu perusahaan dalam melakukan litbang melalui pengukuran pengeluaran dan personil litbang. Diperlukan suatu pengelompokan perusahaan untuk melacak performa litbang dari sektor industri sehingga dapat menjadi referensi terhadap pemantauan kapasitas litbang. Informasi mengenai jumlah pekerja dalam suatu perusahaan turut menjadi indikator untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai ukuran perusahaan dalam hasil pengelompokan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokan perusahaan berdasarkan statistik litbang menggunakan metode clustering K-Medoids sehingga didapatkan hasil pengelompokan yang optimal. Adapun penggunaan metode tersebut dikarenakan data yang diperoleh memiliki pencilan. Evaluasi hasil pengelompokan akan ditinjau melalui indeks silhouette. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa pengelompokan data litbang industri dengan menggunakan metode K-Medoids paling optimal membentuk empat kelompok. Adapun berdasarkan hasil evaluasi indeks silhouette, struktur dari hasil pengelompokan masuk dalam kategori kuat. Profil dari masing-masing kelompok turut disampaikan pada bagian interpretasi. Selain itu hasil pengelompokan ini dapat menjadi pemetaan awal dalam membuat kebijakan litbang dalam sektor industri Indonesia.

Abstract

Every person and organization must know the advantages of podcast so they can maximize the effectiveness of the communication strategy for the Covid-19 vaccination program. Podcasts are media content that gets public attention during a pandemic. Podcasts needs to be maximized by every stakeholder because during the pandemic there is a lot of misinformation that has the potential to hinder the success of the vaccination program. The delivery of health information is one of the efforts to improve the quality of public health. This study aims to provide the advantages of podcasts in providing public understanding of Covid-19 vaccination. The method in this study is literature review with qualitative approach. The literature sources were obtained from Google Scholar with the keywords podcast, vaccine, and covid-19. The results of the synthesis were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive technique. The results state that podcasts have 4 advantages that can be used as opportunities to communicate understanding about vaccination, namely: presenting experts, easy access to information, advantages of audio-type content and user generated content/UGC. By presenting credible sources, podcast content is expected to be able to increase the validity of the information. Podcasts can be made by anyone, not only individuals but also government institutions, educational institutions to even the health industry. Podcasts were considered capable of playing a role in improving the quality of public health because various stakeholders took the initiative to communicate vaccinations. This study also builds a conceptual framework of podcast advantages in supporting Covid-19 vaccination education.

Abstract

Chatbot is a digital technology based on artificial intelligence that has been utilized by various libraries to support the efficiency of information services. The use of chatbots is considered capable of creating a smart library ecosystem so it is important to continue to be developed so that customers are satisfied with the information services provided. This study aims to provide an overview of the benefits that can be obtained by libraries from implementing chatbots to achieve the concept of a smart library. The method used in this study is a literature review from the Google Scholar and Scopus database. There are 5 articles as the main research data. The results show that there are at least 2 benefits that can be obtained from implementing chatbots in library information services, namely: personalized information services and integration of cyberspace with libraries. In personalized information services, customers can get information that suits their needs without having to be overwhelmed with unnecessary information. As for integrating cyber space with real life, customers are able to access services without having to come to the location. Efficiency is the key word in the use of technology to support library services. More in-depth empirical research on chatbots, especially in Indonesia, needs to be carried out to be able to develop and evaluate the use of this technology.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang peran komunikasi sains terkait informasi Covid-19 di media sosial pada masa pandemi. Komunikasi sains dilakukan untuk melawan misinformasi dan hoaks. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi pada delapan hasil penelitian terkait media sosial dan informasi Covid-19. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar dengan menggunakan kata kunci tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga peran dari komunikasi sains pada saat pandemi Covid-19, yakni mendiseminasikan ilmu pengetahuan melalui cara populer, memperkuat jaringan komunikasi dan informasi ilmiah, dan membantu pemeriksaan fakta. Praktik komunikasi sains dilakukan melalui kolaborasi antara ilmuwan, masyarakat awam, pemerintah, dan industri kreatif.

Abstract

The revolution in information and communication technology has caused the existence of an organization to depend on their ability to utilize the technology so that they are able to solve various problems accurately and quickly, including government institutions. Currently, data is a resource that must be maximized by every organization, including government agencies, through the use of technology so that it can be reprocessed into useful information. Business intelligence / BI is an approach that can be used by an organization to build a method and system to get fast information based on large data through the use of technology. This study aims to describe the role of BI in supporting accountability in government institutions. The method used in this research is meta-synthesis with a qualitative approach. The results of the study state that BI can support accountability through five dimensions, namely: transparency, accountability, control activities, responsibility and responsiveness. Data governance is the main aspect that supports the creation of these five dimensions. Not only the needs of the external environment, BI is able to provide accurate information about the internal environment of an organization so that it can improve the quality of data governance for the formulation of more comprehensive policies. The implication of this study is that government institutions must continue to adapt to current technological developments so that accountability can be achieved through the positive side of these technological developments.
