Abstract

Data exchange communication has developed, which leads to centralized communication, and to achieve this communication requires a type of data communication whose data is accommodated on the server and can be accessed by clients, such as at organization. As a company engaged in education, the development of centralized data communication by utilizing the intranet network has been formed. The use of an intranet network allows data communication that is vulnerable to wiretapping. To fix this using a VPN network. L2TP and IPsec VPNs have different performances, especially in the level of security provided. In this study, an analysis of the L2TP and IPsec VPN network performance was carried out on the SMB Server on the Ubuntu server and the Mikrotik router for its VPN configuration. In this study, the L2TP and IPsec VPN was designed by configuring the Mikrotik RB 450G router and the SMB Server configuration using Command Line Interface on Ubuntu 18.04 server. For security analysis, use hacking methods to get VPN Server login data and sniffing methods to get SMB Server login data and SMB data. For performance analysis using parameters of delay, throughput, and packet loss. Wireshark is software for checking by capturing each packet of data from an interface. The research objective to be achieved is to design a VPN technology based on L2TP & IPSec, to be able to determine the resulting performance after implementing a VPN based on L2TP & Ip Sec. The result is that VPN can connect from HO to branch one and branch two or connect from public connection to local connection. The Ubuntu server used is also running well, so it helps the VPN process properly.

Abstract

Understudy conduct is an action completed by understudies for every person. Students who visit campus journal websites are essential in terms of journal accreditation aspects, where this is a benchmark for increasing the journal's potential as a reference. However, some factors influence it where the frequency of students visiting campus journal websites is not as expected in exploring journals, and the enthusiasm of students to download articles is still below the desired expectations. It causes the potential for the journal to obtain national accreditation at a small percentage, and students may think that there are very few reference sources for journals, so it is less attractive on the campus journal website system. Data collection methods were used in this study, such as interviews, literature study, and questionnaires. Meanwhile, evaluate the campus journal website system on student behavior using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with four variables: perceived ease of use, usefulness, attitude toward using, and behavioral intention to use. This method makes the user feel it is easier to access the campus journal website; then, the user feels the campus journal website can provide benefits and usability. The user has a great curiosity about accessing the campus journal, and finally, the user wants to access the website and take the initiative to influence. other users in to access the same

Abstract

The company does not yet know the pattern of consumer purchases because, so far, the sales transaction data has not been used correctly and does not have a unique method to determine consumer buying patterns. The problems on the company, this research was done to reprocess sales transaction data for 2018-2019 using data mining techniques with association methods and apriori algorithms. RapidMiner is a supporting application to find association rules derived from transaction data. Processed transaction data using the Knowledge Discovery in Database approach. Thus, the company can determine consumer habits in buying goods from sales transaction data for 2018-2019. The results of this study are that in 2018, nine association rules were obtained, of which the best were CT G-246 ⇒ CT G-250 and CT G-250 ⇒ CT G-246. In 2019, nineteen association rules were received, of which the best were PN 0441, SK 0175 ⇒ SK 0530, and SK 0175, SK 0283, ⇒ SK 0530. From the best association rules, the goods in the Coat (imported), Pants, and Skirt categories are often bought together.

Abstract

The use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has almost become a common necessity in the current era, especially for security, where it is to record an incident 24 hours a day which can be immediately broadcast or stored as evidence if one day it is needed. Closed Circuit Television or better known as CCTV is equipment that functions to record events in real time in a room. The research objective is to build a web-based expert system that is able to diagnose damage to CCTV and implement the forward chaining method. Data collection methods are observation, interviews and literature study. Meanwhile, the research method used is forward chaining. The result is that an expert system can be built on a web basis and is able to diagnose damage to CCTV and also the forward chaining method can be implemented to overcome the uncertainty of the expert system diagnosis results.

Abstract

The development of technology that we use today is increasingly developing, especially in the world of telecommunications. Rapid changes in telecommunications networks are also driven by users' need to stay connected anytime and anywhere. Various new application features such as multimedia services, video conferencing, online games and internet services require larger bandwidth at high speeds. The aim of this research is to understand the basic concepts of Fiber To The Home network design, to obtain a Fiber To The Home access network design based on the location of device placement in the FTTH network design, to analyze the Link Power Budget parameters as a sign of the feasibility of the FTTH network design results, and to find out implementation of Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON). The data collection methods used are literature methods, observation methods, and analysis techniques. The results of the research, the basic concept of Fiber To The Home network design is easy for users to understand, the location of device placement in the FTTH network design can be obtained based on the Fiber To The Home access network design, the Link Power Budget parameter as a sign of the feasibility of the FTTH network design results can be used as an analysis reference, and Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) can be applied to FTTH network design.

Abstract

An EDC (Electronic Data Capture) machine is an electronic device used to collect, store and manage electronic payment transaction data, such as credit or debit cards. Typically, EDC machines are used by merchants or retailers to accept payments from customers by credit or debit card. EDC machines connect to electronic payment networks and facilitate secure data transfer between customer cards and payment systems. The aim is to implement the forward chaining method and create an expert system that can diagnose EDC machine damage and disturbances. The forward chaining method is used in this research. The result is that the forward chaining method can be implemented in an expert system and the system can be used to diagnose damage and disturbances to EDC machines.

Abstract

Masa pertumbuhan teknologi saat ini komputer menjadi kebutuhan primer untuk sebagian besar manusia. Hampir segala bidang pekerjaan sangat bergantung dengan konsumsi teknologi dalam melaksanakan sesuatu pekerjaan. Salah satu teknologi yang banyak digunakan oleh banyak perusahaan merupakan komputer. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari permasalahan yang ada pada komputer tersebut. Salah satunya merupakan kerusakan komponen komputer disebabkan karena faktor kelalaian pengguna hingga bencana yang tidak terduga. Oleh karena hal tersebut pengguna rata-rata menggunakan jasa teknisi profesional untuk melakukan perbaikan suatu komputer, tetapi beberapa kelemahan dengan memanggil teknisi ahli yaitu mahalnya biaya yang akan dikeluarkan. Maka dari itu penulis di sini ingin membuat sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu para pengguna komputer untuk dapat mengidentifikasi serta memperbaiki perangkatnya secara mandiri. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah metode sebagai perbandingan, yaitu: metode forward chaining dan case-based reasoning. Hasil yang dapat diberikan dari metode forward chaining adalah berupa basis pengetahuan serta kesimpulan, sementara untuk metode case-based reasoning menghasilkan keluaran berupa nilai valid dari beberapa proses yang sudah dilakukan. Dari kedua metode tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa metode case-based reasoning memliki akurasi yang tinggi di dalam menghasilkan suatu kesimpulan dikarenakan adanya perhitungan dan nilai yang didapat. Sistem ini dapat membantu bagi pengguna perangkat komputer untuk lebih mandiri di dalam merawat serta memperbaiki perangkat yang mereka miliki.
