Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui fungsi dan modus tindak tutur direktif guru dan murid di Sekolah Kelompok Bermain Insan kamil. Adapun tempat penelitian dilakukkan di Sekolah Kelompok Bermain Insan Kamil BSD. Data yang digunakan sebanyak dua puluh lima tuturan data yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik catat lapangan. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan guru dan murid di Sekolah Kelompok Bermain Insan Kamil. Hasilnya, fungsi tindak tutur direktif guru dan murid di Kelompok Bermain Insan Kamil cukup bervariasi. Antara lain yaitu memiliki fungsi permintaan (requestives), pertanyaan (questision), perintah (requirements), larangan (prohibitive) dan pemberian izin (permissives) dan nasihat (advisories). Modus tindak tutur direktif guru dan murid di kelompok bermain insan kamil ditemukan tiga modus kalimat tuturan yang digunakan. Tiga modus tersebut antara lain modus kalimat berita (deklaratif), modus kalimat tanya (introgatif) dan kalimat perintah (imperatif). The research site was carried out at the Insan Kamil BSD Playgroup School. The data used were twenty-five speech data which were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques using field note techniques. The data source used in this study were the speeches of teachers and students at Insan Kamil's Playgroup School. As a result, the function of the directive speech acts of teachers and students in Insan Kamil's Play Group varies considerably. Among other things, it has functions of requests (requestives), questions (questision), orders (requirements), prohibitions (prohibitive) and granting permits (permissives) and advice (advisories). The teacher and student directive speech act modes in the Insan Kamil play group found three modes of spoken sentences used. The three modes are news sentence mode (declarative), interrogative sentence mode (introgative) and command sentence (imperative).Keywords: directive speech act, interaction, teacher, student
