Abstract

ABSTRACTThe times are getting faster and powerful impact on the changes in all fields. One in the field of education which requires students to improve the mastery of a concept. Efforts to support it, it is used in the form of learning media modules. This study aims to determine the effect of learning modules for students' mastery of concepts. This research is a kind of experimental research design with posttest only control design with a sample of 2 XI where samples taken by random sampling technique. The data was normally distributed through the test of normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov test in SPSS 20) equal 0,654 significantion 0,786 (experiment class) dan 0,619 significantion 0,839 (control class) and homogeneous through the test of homogeneity (Levene's test in SPSS 20) for 0,025 significantion 0,874 . Posttest t test results which is obtained tmeasure> ttable to 5%. The research proves that the use of the module in the learning activities can improve students' mastery of concepts. Module development should be increased and combined with other learning models. KEYWORDS: module, achievement, the magnetic field

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriateness of HOTS assessment instruments for class X physics material. The design of this study was a development research with a four-D development model. The sample is class X with a total of 34 students of SMK Satria Bhakti Nganjuk. The product developed was a HOTS assessment instrument in the form of multiple choice HOTS test questions. Research and information gathering are carried out for conceptual studies based on relevant theoretical studies. The validation of the assessment instrument was carried out to evaluate the validity of the assessment instrument in the form of HOTS test items. The results showed that the HOTS assessment instrument had a score of 3.53 or in the Eligible category after the product validation test was carried out. The feasibility of the HOTS assessment instrument is seen from 3 components including the material component (3.56), the evaluation component (3.52), and the language component (3.51). The use of HOTS assessment instrument products is expected that students can use the HOTS assessment instrument as training material to practice higher order thinking skills, and teachers (educators) can use the HOTS assessment instrument to measure students' mastery of concepts. KEYWORDS: instrument, assesment, HOTS, physics ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan instrumen penilaian HOTS pada materi Fisika kelas X. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan four-D. Sampelnya adalah kelas X dengan berjumlah 34 siswa SMK Satria Bhakti Nganjuk. Produk yang dikembangkan adalah instrumen asesmen HOTS berupa soal tes HOTS pilihan ganda. Penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi dilakukan untuk telaah konsep berdasarkan kajian teori yang relevan. Validasi instrumen asesmen dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kevalidan instrumen asesmen yang berupa butir soal tes HOTS. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa instrumen penilaian HOTS memiliki skor 3,53 atau dalam kategori Layak setelah dilakukan uji validasi produk. Kelayakan instrumen penilaian HOTS dilihat dari 3 komponen meliputi komponen materi (3,56), komponen evaluasi (3,52), dan komponen bahasa (3,51). Pemanfaatan produk instrumen penilaian HOTS diharapkan peserta didik dapat menggunakan instrumen penilaian HOTS sebagai bahan latihan untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan guru (pendidik) dapat menggunakan instrumen penilaian HOTS untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep siswa.
