Abstract

One of the most important and influential educational components is the teacher. Because the teacher is a central figure in improving the quality of education in students. Teachers in carrying out their duties are required to carry out various conditions, duties and responsibilities as instructors, educators and trainers. With a variety of demands that are so big and heavy, teachers in reality sometimes pay little attention to and implement these demands, so that they will influence and reduce the quality of education, especially students. The concept of teacher exemplary in terms of Islamic education is very important and is a very influential method in the process of formation and development of students. And this has been applied by the Apostle to his friends. As an educator, the teacher who becomes a character, role model and identification for students and their environment the teacher must implement the quality of his personality which includes authority, responsibility, independence, discipline, code of ethics, compassion, and mingling with society in daily life both in school environment and outside the school environment. Thus, the example of the teacher implemented in daily life will lead to the achievement of the goal of Islamic education to the fullest. From the explanation above, this is where the importance of this theme is about the example of the teacher in the perspective of scientific education to be studied by the author in the study of literature as a consideration or reference for educators, especially teachers.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have had a significant impact on education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI), particularly Fiqih instruction. However, suboptimal use of modern instructional media, limitations in facilities and infrastructure, and teachers’ readiness to integrate technology into the learning process remain constraints, which in turn contribute to low student motivation and participation in Fiqih learning. This study aimed to describe the implementation of interactive modern instructional media in Grade X Fiqih learning, identify constraints encountered in its use, and analyze the role of such media in students’ motivation and learning comprehension. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the Fiqih teacher and Grade X students at a Madrasah Aliyah. The findings showed that interactive modern instructional media, such as digital presentations (PowerPoint), instructional videos, and the use of an LCD projector, had been implemented in Fiqih learning and were able to increase students’ attention, motivation, participation, and ease of understanding the material. Nevertheless, implementation remained constrained by limited supporting facilities and limited teacher preparation time. The study concludes that interactive modern instructional media play an important role in improving the quality of Fiqih learning; therefore, support for facilities and infrastructure, as well as enhancement of teacher competence, is needed to ensure that the use of modern instructional media can be more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers have a strategic role in shaping students’ moral and spiritual development. However, social change, technological development, and symptoms of moral degradation among students require PAI teachers to perform broader roles than merely delivering learning material. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI teachers in shaping students’ morals and character in educational environments. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were obtained from books, scientific journals, and academic publications relevant to Islamic education, character education, and moral development, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that PAI teachers played a role in shaping students’ morals through their functions as educators, role models, mentors, counselors, and facilitators of religious activities. Moral formation was carried out through the habituation of positive behavior, the implementation of religious activities, and the creation of a religious school culture. In addition, collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community also strengthened the effectiveness of character education. The conclusion of this study affirms that the success of students’ moral formation depends not only on the delivery of religious knowledge but also on the exemplary conduct and active involvement of PAI teachers in students’ daily lives. These findings imply the importance of educational institutions’ support for comprehensive character education programs to shape a generation with noble character and a strong spiritual foundation.

Abstract

Fiqh learning, particularly the topic of prayer, plays an important role in shaping students’ understanding and practice of worship. However, in learning practice, differences in difficulties and learning outcomes among students are still found, which are presumed to be related to variations in learning styles. This study aims to determine students’ learning styles, Fiqh learning outcomes on the topic of prayer, and the relationship between learning styles and learning outcomes among Grade VII students at MTsN 16 Jombang. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design and involved 21 students as the sample. Data were collected through a learning style questionnaire consisting of 15 statement items and a learning outcome test comprising 12 multiple-choice questions and 10 essay questions. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, the Levene Test for homogeneity, and the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that students’ learning styles were diverse, with a dominant tendency toward the kinesthetic learning style. Fiqh learning outcomes on the topic of prayer obtained an average score of 78.90. The correlation test results showed a value of r = –0.013 with Sig. = 0.957 (p > 0.05), indicating that there was no significant relationship between learning styles and Fiqh learning outcomes on the topic of prayer among Grade VII students at MTsN 16 Jombang. Thus, H₀ was accepted and Hₐ was rejected. The conclusion of this study affirms that learning style is not the main factor influencing Fiqh learning outcomes on the topic of prayer. These findings imply the need for teachers to pay attention to other factors, such as learning motivation, discipline, interest, and learning strategies, in efforts to improve students’ learning outcomes.
