Abstract

This research aims to investigate the utilization of the waste of Pinang Fruit peel as a biosorbent which function to process Pb (II) from contaminated water. The result showed that the absorbtion ability of Pb (II) was strongly influenced by the acidity of solution, contact duration and the initial concentration of the Pb (II) solution. The maximum absorbtion was 92,50% at pH 6, initial concentration of 50 ppm in 75 minutes contact time. FTIR spectral data indicated the presence of  amina, alcohol and carbonil groups. Isotherm Langmuir was at the maximum absorbtion of 0,877 mg/g.

Abstract

This research was carried out due to the existence of the waste heavy metals in the aquatic environment, which was very harmful to the sustainability of the environment. The purpose of this research was to find out the reduction percentage of copper metal (Cu) on the waste. This research using method phytoremediation test. The plants used were water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) and algae (Hydrilla verticilata). This study was conducted three times of the repetition in each variable. The measurement of Cu concentration using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) flame. The Results of this research was found that the efficiency of the average reduction in the concentration of Cu by water hyacinth was 82.8368% and the efficiency of the average reduction in the concentration of Cu by algae was 63.4042%.

Abstract

The manufacture of the bioplastic was done through the mixing process using an aquades solvent with a ratio massa 10 gram and 7 gram cornstarch, 150 mL aquades, 2 Ml glycerol and 0,5 gram ZnO. This study aim to find out physical characteristies (water vapour transmission rate, water content, thickness,biodegradation) and mechanical charateristics (tensile strength, elongasi, modulus young) are made of cornstrach (Zea mays) using ZnO metal. From the test results tensile strength was 2.744-4.018 Mpa, percentage of elongation was 28.4632.383%, modulus young’s was 8.9031026535-14.08617709Mpa, thickness was 0.16-0.29mm, water vapor transmission rate was 0.4329-1.52525g/m2.24 hours, water content was 13.5-14.5%, and biodegradation was 3.7798-7.0346% and 455-809 days.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated by the implementation of chemistry learning that needed student-centered learning interactions by implementing Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) types of cooperative learning.  This research aimed at knowing the difference on learning achievement between students taught by using STAD model and those who were taught by using NHT model on Salt Hydrolysis lesson.  The eleventh-grade students of Natural Science at State Senior High School 1 Pasir Penyu in the Academic Year of 2018/2019 were the population of this research.  Purposive sampling technique was used in this research, and there were 33 students as the samples in experiment 1 and experiment 2 groups.  The research findings showed that the increase of learning achievement of students taught by using STAD model was 18.06, and the mean increase of learning achievement of students taught by using NHT model was 14.60.  Besides, based on the statistical analysis, it was obtained that there was a difference on learning achievement between students taught by using STAD model and those who were taught by using NHT model on Salt Hydrolysis lessonat State Senior High School 1 Pasir Penyu, tobserved was higher than ttable (2.063>1.997) and the score of sig was lower than 0.05, so H0 was rejected..Keywords: NHT, Salt Hydrolysis, STAD

Abstract

Abstract Developing Digital Scrapbook Learning Media on Acid and Base Lesson at the Eleventh Grade of State Senior High School 7 Pekanbaru This research aimed at developing digital scrapbook learning media on Acid and Base lesson for the eleventh-grade students at State Senior High School 7 Pekanbaru. The selection of Acid and Base lesson was based on the complexity and interrelationship of concepts requiring in-depth understanding from students. In the learning process, students tend to be more enthusiastic when using interesting and non-monotonous media, so innovation in learning media is needed to increase student motivation and understanding. It was Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE development model limited only to the development stage. Interview and questionnaire were the techniques of collecting data. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 7 Pekanbaru. The validation results showed the percentages 80% (quite valid, and could be used with minor revisions) by media experts and 87% (very valid) by material experts, the percentage of practicality test by teachers was 95.2% (very good), and the percentage of student response test was 85% (very good). Based on the validation results obtained, it could be concluded that the digital scrapbook learning media on Acid and Base lesson was valid to be used as a learning medium. Keywords: Acid and Base, Digital Scrapbook, Learning Media   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajran scrapbook digital pada materi asam dan basa untuk siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru. Pemilihan materi asam dan basa didasarkan pada kompleksitas dan keterkaitan konsep yang memerlukan pemahaman mendalam dari siswa. Dalam proses pembelajaran siswa cenderung lebih semangat ketika menggunakan media yang menarik dan tidak monoton, sehingga inovasi dalam media pembelajaran sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Reasearch and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap development. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dan angket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media diperoleh persentase 80% (cukup valid dapat digunakan dengan revisi kecil), ahli materi sebesar 87% (sangat valid), uji praktikalitas oleh guru memperoleh persentase 95,2% (sangat baik), dan uji respon peserta didik memperoleh persentase 85% (sangat baik). Berdasarkan hasil validasi yang didapatkan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran scrapbook digital pada materi asam dan basa valid digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.
