Abstract

The success of character education in schools is the success of students in building their personal character, as well as the success of teachers in building students' character. Character education will not run well if it ignores one institution, especially the family. It is because the family is an environment for the growth and development of children from early age until they become adults. Through education in the family, character of the children will be build.Communication between the school (the school principal) and parents / guardians is one realization of school accountability. Even though the teachers in the school already have the opportunity to interact and influence the lives of students, will eventually return to the lap of his parents. Some examples of communication between teachers and parents of students are: making use of teacher meetings with students' parents, utilizing technological advancements, providing school Web sites, forming school committees.Keywords: Communication, Teachers and Parents, Student Character

Abstract

Sastra Bali tradisional merupakan bagian dari kebudayaan Bali yang sekaligus merupakan peninggalan leluhur yang tak ternilai harganya. Di samping itu juga sastra tradisional Bali merupakan salah satu bentuk yang dapat digunakan sebagai media dalam menuangkan gagasan-gagasan maupun ide-ide untuk menyampaikan ajaran-ajaran atau norma-norma dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Karya sastra merupakan salah satu peninggalan nenek moyang suatu masyarakat yang kaya akan nilai- nilai pendidikan, kecerdikan, kritik sosial serta mengandung nilai budi pekerti yang luhur yang sudah sepantasnya mendapatkan perhatian dalam usaha untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan nilai budaya bangsa, khususnya budaya bahasa Bali. Sebuah karya sastra pasti terkandung nilai- nilai kehidupan yang ber;laku pada masyarakat di mana karya sastra tersebut diciptakan. Seperti misalnya nilai- nilai tersebut menggambarkan norma, tradisi, aturan dan kepercayaan yang dianut/ dilakukan pada suatu masyarakat. Nilai- nilai tersebut antara lain, nilai moral, nilai sosial; nilai budaya/ tradisi: nilai religi/ keagamaan, dan lain sebagainya. Demikian pula halnya dengan geguritan Dukuh Siladri yang banyak sekali mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diajarkan kepada anak-anak, remaja maupun orang dewasa untuk dijadikan pedoman berperilaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Nilai -nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam Geguritan Dukuh Siladri adalah nilai-nilai : 1) rasa ingin tahu, 2)  cinta damai, 3) bersahabat/komunikatif, 4) gemar membaca, 5) jujur, 6) kerja keras, 7) Tanggung Jawab, 8) peduli social, dan 9) religious. Kata Kunci : Geguritan Dukuh Siladri , Nilai Pendidikan Karakter.

Abstract

Keberadaan aktifitas yajna khususnya di Bali, selain berperan sebagai suatu rutinitas spiritual keagamaan, juga berperan sebagai identitas keagamaan budaya dan tradisi. Suatu realita nyata yang terlihat di lapangan adalah pesatnya perkembangan tekhnologi era modern yang seolah melaju tanpa henti. Namun uniknya meski demikian pesat perkembangan tekhnologi, eksestensi budaya khususnya yajna di Bali tetap mampu bertahan bahkan bersinergi dengan perkembanganyang terjadi di masyarakat. Hari raya Galungan sebagai hari pawedalan jagat, sehingga wajib memuja Ida Sang Hyang Widi atas terciptanya alam semesta beserta isinya, dan mengucapkan rasa terima kasih dengan ketulusan hati dan penuh kesucian atas kemurahan yang telah diberikan. Pada hari ini juga para dewa turun ke dunia termasuk juga para pitara yang merupakan leluhur kita. Dalam rangkaian hari raya Galungan mulai dirayakan pada hari Minggu Pahing Dungulan yang disebut Panyekeban. Biasanya umat Hindu mulai memproses buah-buahan yang masih mentah terutama pisang yang masih mentah agar matang pada saat hari Galungan tiba. Pada hari Senin Pon Dungulan dinamakan Panyajan pada waktu itu umat Hindu biasanya membuat berbagai macam kue atau jaja sebagai sesajen persembahan kepada para dewa pada hari raya Galungan. Kemudian pada hari Selasa Wage Dungulan dinamakan Panampahan. Barulah kemudian pada Rabu Kliwon Dungulan puncaknya hari suci Galungan, setelah Galungan dikenal hari manis Galungan. Desa Beringkit Belayu merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki tradisi yang cukup unik pada hari raya Galungan tepatnya pada hari Panampahan Galungan yaitu tradisi Mebanten Tebasan. Tradisi Mebanten Tebasan ini merupakan suatu aktivitas keagamaan yang bersifat kearifan lokal. Adapun fungsi tradisi Mebanten Tebasan yaitu Fungsi Meningkatkan Sradha dan Bhakti, Fungsi Sosial, Fungsi Pelestarian Budaya dan Fungsi Media Pendidikan.Kata Kunci: Fungsi, Tradisi Mabanten Tebasan

Abstract

Education has a plan for the development of a person's personality. Along with the development of increasingly modern times and increasingly sophisticated technology, of course, will affect a person's behavior. In today's era, many are more busy with cellphones than directly communicating with the people around them. Of course, from a psychological aspect, it will unconsciously affect relationships with other people. Because in relationships or communicating, the value of taste is very important.The success of character education in schools is the success of students in building their personal character, as well as the success of teachers in building students' character. Abstract

The problem of plastic waste, lately continues to be a concern by the government of Tangkas Village, Klungkung Regency. This is because disposable plastic waste that is discarded carelessly by the surrounding community has caused disruption to the palemahan system (environment) in Tangkas Village. After five years of running its various programs, the Dharma Winangun Community Self-Help Group still exists today, although it faces several obstacles. Some of the programs are; (1) TPS-3R program (reduce, reuse, recyle); focuses on managing household-based waste that is sorted and recycled into goods with high economic value, where the program consists of short-term and medium-term, (2) Palangan-based education; in collaboration with the school to educate children from an early age, as well as the involvement of Krama Desa for the socialization of the dangers of garbage in the palemahan sistem, (3) eco tour program; environmental or ecology tourism program, which invites tourists to be involved in maintaining the preservation of Tangkas Village which consists of pray, eat and reycle activities, and finally (4) Establishment of a waste bank; the gold waste exchange program, which is held once a month, for the six related banjars that are appreciated by all villagers. Globally, the various programs above can overcome and change people's behavior to not be consumptive towards the use of plastic waste, especially those that are disposable and switch to the use of environmentally friendly products. However, in its implementation, these various programs encountered several obstacles namely, (1) internal obstacles; there are still some communities whose awareness has not yet been awakened to the danger of disposable plastic waste, limited human resources to process waste gradually, (2) external constraints; limited capacity of space and machinery in landfills (TPS), as well as in the ecotour program also face a shortage of implementation team staff. For the entire Dharma Winangun Community Self- Help Group program above, it contains Hindu Education Values, which can be summarized as follows (1) Tattwa Values education; Rta and Jnana Law, (2) Susila's educational values; awareness, sense of responsibility, application of the concept of Tri Hita Karana, Karma Phala, (3) The value of Event education; melaspas ceremonies, Tumpek Wariga, Pecaruan, and discipline to mebanten as a daily routine.
