Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses transformasi pengetahuan matematika siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif sedangkansubjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPIQuAl Bahjah Tulungagung, yang berjumlah 5 siswa dengan kriteria mampu berkomunikasi secara tulis maupun lisan, dan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, kemudian Instrumen utama adalah peneliti sendiri dan instrumen bantu yaitu: tugas matematika dan pedoman wawancara. Data di analisis dan di reduksi kemudian di sajikan untuk ditarik kesimpulan.. Data dianalisis berdasarkan tahap proses transformasi pengetahuan yang meliputi sosialisasi, representasi, koneksi, justifikasi dan internalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses transformasi pengetahuan pada tahap sosialisasi meliputi mengungkapkan ide baik berupa pertanyaan, pernyataan, maupun menanggapi pendapat dari pada teman lain, tahap representasi meliputi menuliskan solusi masalah melalui kalimat secara tertulis, menggunakan rumus, gambar, atau tabel yang terkait dengan penyelesaian soal matematika dan menggunakan simbol matematika dalam penyelesaian soal, tahap koneksi meliputi siswa dapat menemukan hubungan antar konsep matematika yang terkait dengan soal, serta menemukan hubungan konsep matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, tahap justifikasi meliputi menyatakan jawaban benar disertai dengan alasan dengan menggunakan bahasa sendiri, dan memberikan alasan berdasarkan aturan atau definisi, tahap internalisasi meliputi menerapkan konsep pada situasi lain, dan menerapkan prosedur penyelesaian pada situasi lain.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the ability of students to solve gender assessment questions in elementary schools. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SD Quins Tulungagung. Determination of the subject based on gender. The instruments used were the story question test and interview. The data analysis carried out in this study included: (1) reduction, (2) exposure, and (3) interesting about the students' ability to solve story problems in terms of gender in elementary schools. Based on the results of this study, it shows that in solving story problems, male students tend to be better in terms of reasoning because they can carry out problem-solving starting from understanding the questions to evaluating the answers obtained. Then female students who have more accuracy in solving story problems are better than male students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a design and test the feasibility of numeracy literacy modules, as well as see the response of students. Modules are important in the learning process but teachers still convey concepts orally, limited reading books, inadequate learning resources so that students' numeracy literacy skills are low.  This research involved 29 students of class III PKBM Quins Tulungagung for the trial. The type of research and development in this study is using Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design¸ Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The instruments in this study were interviews, observations, documentation, questionnaires assessed by material experts and teaching material experts, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that (1) the validation results showed that the learning module was feasible to use in the learning process with an average score of 3.7 and 3.8. (2) the results of the initial field trial showed that the learning module was feasible to use in the learning process with an average score of 1.97 while the results of the operational field trial showed that the learning module was feasible to use in the learning process with an average score of 1.92. For this reason, future researchers can develop numeracy literacy modules for other material concepts and conduct wider trials.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of critical thinking of female OSN participants in solving math problems. This research is a case study qualitative approach. The research subjects were female participants of OSN SMP Mathematics Tulungagung Regency. The subject selection technique was snowball sampling. Research instruments were test questions and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques include written tests, interviews, documentation. Data validity checking triangulation techniques and reference adequacy. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, the subject fulfills 11 indicators, namely (1) reading carefully, repeatedly, writing mathematical sentences without explaining, focusing the question, (2) explaining the plan by understanding the problem, choosing the formula, writing the formula, (3) working coherently, structured, according to the formula, (4) explaining the information obtained by remembering the material and formulas used, (5) explained the steps to solve the problem clearly, coherently, thorough workmanship, and confidently, (6) argued according to his knowledge, relevant, and accurate but not logical, (7) used one solution and detected other possible plans by trying first, (8) explained other possible steps by paying attention to each stage, (9) tried to solve based on the plan made, (10) found the value of the element subsumed in the formula, the answer was correct and (11) was sure the answer was correct, checking by checking the calculation of the substitution of numbers in the formula from the beginning

Abstract

Several studies have discussed the internalization of Islamic values in mathematics, including Islam and mathematics, internalization of Islamic values in mathematics learning with analogy strategies, mathematical analysis of the philosophy of the Quran, the secret of numbers in the Qur’an. However it has never been discused abaout the internalization of Islamic moderation values in mathematical problem solving. So this research is needed. Moreover, the phenomenon of Islam in Indonesia is currently shifting away from the image of moderate Islam and into a harsher conservative ideology. This is more worrying because it has entered the realm of education. For that it is necessary to internalize the value of Ilamic moderation in mathematical problem solving. One of the strategies that can be done to instill religious moderation values in mathematical problem solving is the analogy strategy. Facts, concepts, and principles in mathematics can be used a analogy to instill religious moderation values. In this study, describe some examples of the application of analogy strategies for internalizing Islamic value. This study uses the library method. The data obtained were publications of research artcles in scientific journals. The analyed articles include three stages, organizing, synthesizing and identifying. The results of data analysis show that the value of tasamuh in mathematics learning can be done through open ended problem solving. The characteristics of open ended problem is problem that have more than one solution and answer  tolerance, so each student may have different and equally correct solutions and answers. This is in accordance with the principle of tasamuh value in Islamic moderation. Therefore, on classroom learning, the values of tasamuh can be implemented through open ended problem.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to provide a comprehensive description of the adaptive thinking attributes exhibited by students enrolled in vocational high schools when engaged in the process of solving mathematical problems. The present study is characterised as a qualitative descriptive investigation. The research employed mathematical test questions and interview guides as the primary instruments. The data collection methods employed in this study encompass both tests and interviews. Data analysis includes the processes of data reduction, data display, and the derivation of conclusions. Checking the validity of the data was carried out by triangulating the source and the adequacy of the reference data. This research was conducted on XI-grade students of SMK X in the vocational field of Motorcycle Engineering (TSM). There are three subjects in this study, they are students who can solve the problem correctly. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that adaptive reasoning characteristics of TSM students in solving math problems and making plans are using different strategies as alternative answers, in providing an allegation of problem-solving, namely by assuming an example in the form of writing and pictures to solve the problem. In the completion stage, students solve problems by linking previous knowledge. In making conclusions, TSM students are simpler and get to the heart of the problem.

Abstract

It is essential to improve students' numeracy literacy skills to apply concepts in everyday life and interpret information correctly, so interactive learning media is needed to support this. However, teachers need to be more optimal in using interactive learning media so that numeracy literacy skills are low. This study aimed to develop interactive media based on Adobe Flash Media CS6, the development used as ADDIE. The stages of this research model include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the development of interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 can improve numeracy literacy skills. This can be seen from the average percentage of validity of 87% with very valid criteria, media expert validation of 78.3% with valid criteria, and practitioner validation of 94.2% with very valid criteria, besides that the average percentage of practicality obtained from the results of the black box testing questionnaire on five different types of android devices and types, 100% was successfully used. The percentage of effectiveness was 0.49, and the criteria were moderate. For this reason, interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 can be used as alternative learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to improve numeracy literacy skills.Kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa penting untuk ditingkatkan agar siswa dapat mengaplikasikan konsep dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta menginterpretasi informasi dengan baik, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mendukung hal tersebut. Namun guru belum maksimal dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif sehingga kemampuan literasi numerasi rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media interaktif berbasis adobe media flash cs6, pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Adapun tahapan dari model penelitian ini meliputi: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis adobe flash cs6 dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata persentase kevalidan sebesar 87% kriteria sangat valid, validasi ahli media sebesar 78,3% kriteria valid, dan validasi praktisi sebesar 94,2% dengan kriteria sangat valid, selain itu rata-rata persentase kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari hasil angket uji coba blackbox testing pada 5 perangkat android yang berbeda jenis dan tipe sebesar 100% berhasil digunakan dan persentase keefektivan sebesar 0,49 kriteria sedang. Untuk itu media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis adobe flash cs6 bisa digunakan alternatif pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi.

Abstract

This research focuses on the use of mathematics teaching materials on fractions that are less interesting and less connect mathematics material with concrete situations and useful in students' lives. The purpose of this research is to create a product of Teaching Materials on Fraction Materials by using the Problem Card approach and linking it to the Context of the Yu Gi Oh Game which is not only scientifically valid but also easy to apply in practice. This research was conducted in grade II at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamiyah Kumisik. This research is a type of development research that uses a customised development model of the ADDIE model. This model consists of 5 stages, namely: 1) Analyze stage, 2) design stage, 3) development stage, 4) implementation stage. Implementation stage. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. From the evaluation by experts, the validation scores obtained were 0.85 for learning experts, 0.84 for media experts, and 0.90 for material experts, with an average value reaching 0.88. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of teacher practicality showed an average score of 0.90, and for student practicality, the average score was 0.87, 5) Evaluation Stage. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Teaching Materials for Fraction Materials Based on Problem Cards and Using the Context of the Yu Gi Oh Game have met the standards of validity and practical usability, making them suitable to be applied in the learning process regarding fraction materials.
