Abstract

Background: Menstrual Hygiene Management is the management of hygiene and health when women experience menstruation. UNICEF research results state that 46% of young women in Indonesia change sanitary napkins less than 2 times a day, whereas in theory changing sanitary napkins is at least 3-4 hours a day. Use for more than 8 hours causes genital irritation and itching which will have an impact on health. The purpose of this study was to determine the practice of menstrual hygiene management in high schools in Magelang.Methods: This research was conducted in 5 public high schools in Magelang. This research method is a mixed methods design. explanatory The research was conducted by collecting quantitative data then qualitative data. The study population was all high school students in Magelang City with a total of 267 respondents.Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the peer support variable (p-value 0,000), the role of the teacher (p-value 0.002), and facilities (p-value 0.003) with menstrual health management practicesConclusion: conclusions and implications for midwifery and nursing practiceAll sections in The peer support variable (p value 0.001) had the most influence on menstrual hygiene management. It is hoped that midwives can contribute in providing health education on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MKM) in cross-sectoral collaboration with the Education Office

Abstract

Abstrak: Amanat yang terkandung dalam UU nomor 36 tahun 2009 menuntut adanya transformasi kesehatan atas kondisi pasca pandemic Covid-19. Pemerintah mencanangkan 6 pilar tranformasi sistem kesehatan salah satunya transformasi layanan primer. Transformasi posyandu berupa Posyandu Prima sebagai sarana pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam asuhan kesehatan dasar sesuai kebutuhan secara terpadu di desa. Dokumentasi kegiatan posyandu prima masih belum terintegrasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mendampingi agar mampu menyebutkan dan mempraktikkan berbagai pemeriksaan yang dilakukan saat pelayanan posyandu prima seseuai kewenangan kader serta melakukan praktik dokumentasi aplikasi Posprima. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan ceramah, tanya jawab serta praktik. Sasaran kegiatan adalah kader posyandu sebanyak 30 (tiga puluh) orang. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner sejumlah 20 soal serta checklist untuk memantau peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan kader posyandu sebanyak 26 poin. Kader juga telah mampu melakukan pemeriksaan pengukuran tinggi badan, berat badan, tekanan darah, penghitungan indeks massa tubuh, dan penentuan status gizi serta melakukan entry data hasil pelayanan pada aplikasi Posprima.Abstract: The mandate contained in Law Number 36 of 2009 demands a health transformation for post-Covid-19 pandemic conditions. The government has launched 6 pillars of health system transformation, one of which is primary service transformation. The transformation of Posyandu in the form of Posyandu Prima as a forum for community empowerment that provides basic health services according to needs in an integrated manner in villages. Documentation of Posyandu Prima activities is still not integrated. This community service activity aims to assist cadres are expected to be able to identify and perform various examinations conducted during Posyandu Prima services within their authority and to practice Prima application. The method of implementing the activity uses lectures, questions and answers and practices. The target of the activity is 30 (thirty) Posyandu cadres. Evaluation is conducted using a 20-question questionnaireand checklists to monitor the increase in cadre knowledge and skills. This activity was able to increase the knowledge of Posyandu cadres by 26 points. Cadres have also been able to carry out height, weight, blood pressure measurements, calculate body mass index, and determine nutritional status and enter data on service results in the Posprima application.
