Abstract

ABSTRAKTukak peptik merupakan salah satu gangguan pencernaan yang sering dialami oleh manusia. Tukak peptik dapat terjadi pada mukosa esofagus, lambung maupun usus halus. Saat ini, terdapat berbagai obat sintetik yang digunakan sebagai terapi tukak peptik. Namun, obat-obatan tersebut memiliki efek samping yang cukup berat. Terdapat berbagai penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa tanaman dapat berpotensi sebagai antitukak yang diinduksi oleh berbagai model. Berdasarkan aktivitas yang dimiliki, tanaman yang memiliki kandungan kimia alkaloid, terpen, terpenoid, flavonoid, saponin, asam fenolik dan tanin terbukti memiliki efek sebagai antitukak.Kata kunci: tukak peptik, herbal medisinal, fitokimiaABSTRACTPeptic ulcer is one of the most common digestive disorders in clinical practice. Peptic ulcers can occur in the esophageal mucosa, stomach and small intestine. There are various synthetic drugs that have been used as peptic ulcer therapy nowadays. However, these drugs have quite severe side effects. There are various studies that show that plants can be potential as anti-ulcers induced by various models. Plants that have phytochemical contents of alkaloids, terpenes and terpenoids, flavonoids, saponins, phenolic acids and tannins have been proven to have an anti-ulcers effect.Keywords: peptic ulcer, herbal medicines, phytochemicals
