Abstract

Corn is the primary source of feed for poultry, with the composition in feed reaching 58%. The population and type of poultry largely determine the level of demand for corn. An analysis has been carrying out to determine the production and demand for corn per year. The amount of output must be increasing to meet the needs of poultry feed in West Sumatera. The study used secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Sumatra in 2020. The study used a quantitative descriptive method. The observations did in all districts/cities in West Sumatra, namely, the type and population of poultry, production per district, and the need for corn as poultry feed. The data were analyzed using excel for Windows and displayed in the form of images and tables. Analysis results show that the average annual demand for corn in West Sumatra for poultry feed is 3,774.1 tons/day, equivalent to 1,377,546.5 tons/year. The yearly average corn production is only 925,564 tons. Based on the analysis of needs and production, corn is not sufficient for poultry feed needs. It is necessary to increase corn production for poultry feed in West Sumatera by 0.48 million tons/year.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pandemi covid 19 telah mempengaruhi banyak hal, karena kondisi dan akibat yang ditimbulkan serta peraturan yang dibuat pemerintah. Faktor ini secara tidak langsung juga mempengaruhi bidang peternakan, terutama penyediaan bahan pakan dan pakan ternak. Telah dilakukan pengamatan dengan tujuan untuk mempelajari efek samping pandemi Covid 19 terhadap ketersediaan bahan pakan dan pakan ternak di Sumatera Barat. Survey dilakukan dengan metoda purposive random sampling (sampling dengan alasan) di sembilan Kabupaten/ Kota yang terdapat banyak usaha peternakan. Pengambilan data dengan cara wawancara kepada pemilik atau pengusaha distributor pakan, pengecer dan peternak sebagai konsumen. Pengamatan adalah; tingkat ketersediaan bahan pakan/pakan, harga, daya beli masyarakat sebelum dan setelah terjadi pandemi Covid 19. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa ketersediaan pakan dan bahan pakan di tingkat distributor, pengecer dan peternak adalah cukup, hanya saja ada keterlambatan transportasi akibat aturan PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar). Harga bahan baku pakan lokal (jagung, dedak padi) ditingkat pedagang pengecer turun berkisar 15-20 % sedangkan harga pakan pabrikan (konsentrat) turun 5 %. Efek samping pandemi covid terhadap produk peternakan adalah berkurangnya permintaan akibat daya beli masyarakat yang turun. Harga produk peternakan di pasar daerah cenderung meningkat akibat keterbatasan pasokan dengan adanya aturan PSBB, dan kembali normal setelah ada aturan new normal.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai pengaruh lamanya pemberian citicoline dalam memperbaiki kualitas RNFL dan lapang pandangan pada POAG. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pasien POAG yang datang dari bulan September 2010 – Januari 2011 dengan tehnik consecutive sampling. Semua subjek penelitian yang sudah diskrining dilakukan pemeriksaan OCT dan perimetri segera sebelum pemberian citicoline, pemeriksaan ulangan dilakukan setelah 10 hari pertama, 10 hari kedua, dan 10 hari ketiga pemberian citicoline. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan perbaikan ketebalan RNFL dengan pemeriksaan OCT lebih banyak terjadi pada pemberian citicoline selama 10 hari III (45.7%) dibandingkan dengan pemberian 10 hari I (25,7%) dan 10 hari II (42,9%). Perbaikan mean sensitivity lapang pandangan dengan pemeriksaan perimetri lebih banyak terjadi pada pemberian citicoline selama 10 hari III (51,4%) dibandingkan dengan pemberian 10 hari I (32.4%) dan 10 hari II (37.2%). Lama pemberian citicoline sangat berpengaruh meningkatkan ketebalan RNFL dengan pemeriksaan OCT dan mean sensitivity lapang pandangan dengan pemeriksaan perimetri pada pasien POAG dan bermakna secara statistik dengan p=0.000 dan p=0.001Kata kunci: Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer, CiticolineAbstractThe objective of this study was to assessing the influence of duration of citicoline administration in improve the quality of RNFL and visual field in POAG. The study was conducted in patients with POAG who take place in September 2010 - January 2011 with consecutive sampling technique. After screening examination, subjects underwent OCT examination and early perimetry after the administration of citicoline, re-examination were in first 10 days, second 10 days, and third 10 days. RNFL thickness by OCT examination were much more going in citicoline administered for the third 10 days (45.7%) compared with the provision of first 10 days (25.7%) and second 10 day (42.9%). Mean sensitivity improvements with visual field perimetry examination occurs more frequently in the administration of citicoline for the third 10 days (51.4%), compared with 10 days of first administration (32.4%) and second 10 days (37.2%). Length of citicoline administration is influencing of RNFL thickness in OCT examination and improvement of the mean sensitivity of perimetry examination in patients with POAG and statistically significant, each with p = 0.000 and p = 0.001.Keywords: Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer, Citicoline

Abstract

Pekon Negeri Sakti, Gedong Tataan District has a location close to the flow of rivers with a small discharge and has been used by some residents to become fish farming ponds. So far, the problem is the lack of lighting for fish ponds and the large number of illegal fishing in the local area at night. Problems faced by Partners can be overcome by looking at the potential of natural resources at partner locations. Judging from the potential of natural resources in the location, there is a river flow that can be used as a pico-hydro power plant or pico scale PLTA. The general goal of this service is to implement appropriate technology in areas near river flows as a source of electricity. The manufacture of microhydro power plants starts from measuring the potential of water, designing turbines and generators, then observing the working system and estimating the electrical power that will be generated. From the survey results, it is known that the water discharge is 2 liters/second and has a fall height or head of 0.5 m. The manufacture of pico-hydro power plant using a screw turbine is capable of producing 5 watts of electrical power. The power generated can be useful for residents for continuous lighting around the pond and at the same time to overcome the potential for illegal fishing at night.
