Abstract

According to the Sei Rotan Village Community, Pawang Hujan is someone who is good at moving or controlling rain using masical or supernatural science which is carried out by means of rituals using several requirements such as fresh red chillies that still have stems, salt, and nails. Provided by the person who is doing the celebration. According to the belief of the Sei Rotan village community, for people who want to do a celebration event or a wedding party, you should use the services of a rain handler for the smooth running of the eent without any obstacles because of the coming rain. The purpose of study is to see whether the use of the services of the rain handler and how the procedure of the implementation of this rain handler deviates from the Islamic aqeedah which can lead to acts of shirk towards Allah that we should make a place to ask for any help. The type of this thesis research is a qualitative research model with descriptive methods by means of observation or observing whether the tradition of using the services of this rain handler deviates from islamic aqidah as the purpose of this thesis is made. Abstract

Modernitas adalah bagaimana menerapkan modern itu dalam kehidupN, itu adalah menghadirkan cara berpikir, sikap dan juga bertindak untuk masa depan, hal ini menuntut  hasil kerja perbandingan dari orang yang  terpelajar. Dari proyek memodernisasi untuk Islam masyarakat harus mempelajari dengan kritis sebagaimana Barat budaya. Kegagalan menghadapi proyek modernisme Barat  Umat Islam dengan sadar dan secara intensif telah melakukan penaklukan terhadap budaya Islam, sehingga proyek modernisme Barat menggambarkan pada dunia Islam tidak  lain dari  suatu penaklukan dan  mendominasi. Oleh karena itu, antar orang Islam ada yang menerima pembaharuan yang sejalan dengan Kitab Suci, dan tentu ada juga yang menolak. Sedang menolak itu, sebab pembaharuan  ditafsir sebagai Produk Barat dan membawa hal negatif serta dampak seumur hidup bagi manusia.

Abstract

The act of khurafat is strongly against Islamic teachings because it is not mentioned in the Al-Qur'an or the Prophet Muhammad SAW's Sunnah, yet it is nevertheless done and believed in Islamic society today. The author of this study discusses Muhammadiyah's contribution to the Islamic Society of Pegajahan District's (Case Study of Sukasari Village) 2023 victory over Khurafat. Finding out which of Khurafat's deeds are still performed and accepted by the Islamic community is the goal of this study. What part does Muhammadiyah play in helping Islamic society in Pegajahan Subdistrict, Sukasari, overcome khurafat? What are the circumstances that both encourage and hinder Muhammadiyah in doing so. This kind of field research gathers data by making direct observations of the subject of the study. This study used a qualitative, phenomenological approach to describe events that happened in the field, as gathered from interviews, documentation, and observations. The study's findings highlight Muhammadiyah's contribution to ending khurafat, a practice that is still often practiced in Islamic communities today. However, a person's faith may be harmed by this act of khurafat. In this instance, Muhammadiyah assigns the Islamic community its responsibility, claiming that khurafat is a doctrine that is against Islam and an act of disobedience that Allah SWT detests. As His slaves, we ought to practice greater piety.
