Abstract

Pertambangan merupakan sebuah kegiatan eksploitasi sumberdaya alam yang salah satunya berupa pembukaan lahan untuk mengambil potensi batubara yang terkandung di dalamnya. PT. Gunung Bayan Pratama Coal merupakan salah satu perusahaan penghasil batubara di Kutai Kartanegara Kalimantan Timur. Dalam kegiatan penambangannya untuk kegiatan peledakan (Blasting) yang dipercayakan kepada PT. Hareda Krida Utama sebagai kontraktor dengan sub kontraktornya PT. Safhira Gifha sebagai tim Blasting dan Drilling. PT. Safhira Gifha adalah sebuah perusahaan Jasa Pertambangan Umum yang bergerak dibidang Jasa Drilling dan Blasting Pada dasarnya peledakan dilakukan untuk mempermudah pencapaian target produksi batubara namun tidak mengganggu kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja dan pemukiman masyarakat sekitar lokasi tambang. Metode Penelitian deskriftif kualitatif dengan pengambilan data melakukan pengukuran langsung dilapangan selama bulan Januari 2011 dan menggunakan data sekunder selama enam bulan terakhir (Juli 2010 s/d Desember 2010). Pengukuran dampak peledakan (Blasting) dengan parameter getaran dan kebisingan menggunakan alat seimograf atau blasmate . Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja dan pemukiman penduduk sekitar lokasi tambang. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan tingkat getaran tertinggi terjadi pada bulan januari 2011 yaitu 35,063 mm/s melebihi bakumutu berdasarkan KepMen LH No. 49 Tahun 1996 baku mutu tingkat getaran kejut berdasarkan jenis bangunan yaitu 10 mm/s dan akan berdampak langsung terhadap bangunan pemukiman masyarakat. Hasil pengukuran tingkat kebisingan tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Juli 2010 yaitu 126,6 dB(A) melebihi bakumutu berdasarkan KepMen LH No. 48 Tahun1996 baku mutu tingkat kebisingan peledakan yaitu 70 dB(A) dan akan berdampak langsung terhadap kesehatan pekerja dan ketentraman lingkungan masyarakat sekitar lokasi tambang.

Abstract

Samarinda is the capital city of the province of East Borneo. The government needs todo a serious waste management, with the increasing number of residents in the Village ofSouth Sempaja Samarinda the solid waste generated will be growing therefore thedevelopment of alternative processing which is Integrated Waste TreatmentSites which aimsto reduce the rate of waste disposal and treatment that should be managed in the EndProcessing Site that can directly extend the life of the End Processing Site. The purpose ofthis study is to design the Integrated Waste Treatment Site in the Village of South Sempaja.Thisresearch is descriptive quantitative with garbage samples from South Sempaja Villageresidents. The stages of this research include the identification of the problem, gatheringsupporting data on South Sempaja Village, Unit Price of Material in Samarinda and findthe volume of waste generated by South Sempaja Community and divided according to theclassification of the house. Then the overall data analysis of the data collected.The volumeof the average generation of garbage in the Village of South Sempaja amounted to 1,46 L/person/day and average weight of garbage generation in the Village of South Sempajaamounted to 0,47 kg/person/day and Total area of Integrated Waste  Treatment Sites in theVillage of South Sempaja is 1.218,97 mand 157,25 m22, with details of the main components is 1.061,72 m area of   the supporting components and trucks that go into Integrated WasteTreatment Sites in the Village of South Sempaja are 5 trucks with a capacity of 12 m2

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of promotion on job satisfaction among echelon IIIofficials in West Lombok regency, (2) the effect of promotion on their work motivation, (3) the effectof work motivation on their satisfaction, (4) the effect of promotion on their job satisfaction throughthe use of work motivation.This research is categorized as a associative causal study. The techniqueof data collection employed literature studies and questionnaires. Population of the study covered169 echelon III officials in West Lombok regency. The data were analyzed using Path Analysistechnique. Results of the study show that: (1) promotion had a positive effect on work motivation; (2)promotion had a positive and significant effect on the work motivation (3) work motivation had apositive and significant impact on the job satisfaction (4) promotion had a positive and significanteffect on the job satisfaction through the provision of motivation from the Government of WestLombok Regency. Results of the study recommend that the authorities of West Lombok regencyshould conduct the promotion process in a fair way by considering the educational background,competence and performance of its staff. Thus, their work motivation and job satisfaction wouldimprove significantly.Keywords: promotion, work motivation, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Tofu industry has become one of the most widespread home industries. In the production process, the tofu industry produces liquid and solid waste can cause environmental pollution, especially the aquatic environment. Microbial Fuel Cell method (MFC) is a waste treatment method by utilizing microbial activity to minimize waste while producing electricity The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of MFC in reducing organic matter in tofu wastewater, and the amount of electric energy generated. The reactor used is a type of MFC dual chamber. KMnO4 was used at the cathode space and tofu wastewater in the anode chamber. The electrodes used are graphite type carbon. Performed COD measurements every 12 hours, while for the current strength and voltage is measured every 6 hours during the operating time of 48 hours. The results showed that dual chamber MFC method can decrease dissolved organic matter and produce electricity. The optimum efficiency of COD was decreased 42,86% and efficiency of BOD decrease 86,83% at 48 hours. As for the maximum electricity production of 28.61 mW / cm2 at the residence of 24 hours.

Abstract

The high increase of population and economic activity of society. Community needs for clean water continue to increase. And with the limited capacity of clean water production by PDAM, it causes people to use other water sources. People who live on the banks of the river Karang Mumus use the river water without a treatment processing first. River polluted by suspended solids and also the presence of microbiological pollution requires natural processing, one of which is roughing filters. In this study we studied the decrease of total suspended solids, turbidity, and total coliform in raw water of Karang Mumus River by using roughing filter. And to know the effectiveness of gravel and brick media used as a medium of roughing filter. The medium used both pebbles and bricks, has three different sizes with the size of 12 – 18 mm, 12 – 8 mm, 4 – 8 mm. Roughing filter processing method used is upflow roughing filter in series with the addition of sedimentation basin at the beginning and slowsand filter at the end of processing. The results showed that roughing filter could decrease the total suspended solid parameter from 1450 mg/L to 200 mg/L on gravel media, and 1700 mg/L to 150 mg/L on brick media. In the turbidity parameter, gravel media can reduce turbidity from 729,33 NTU to 1,21 NTU, and on brick media turbidity value is lowered from 923,33 NTU to 2,19 NTU. And on total coliform from 35000 MPN/100 ml to 1600 MPN/100 ml on gravel media and from 17000 MPN/100 ml to 110 MPN/100 ml on brick media. There is no significantdifference in the efficiency by using gravel and brick media. But the brick medium is superior in decreasing the total suspended solids and total coliform parameters.

Abstract

IPA Unit cendana merupakan salah satu unit pengolahan air yang dimiliki oleh PDAM Kota Samarinda. Wilayah pelayanan IPA Unit Cendana ini ialah Kecamatan Samarinda Utara, Kecamatan Pinang Dalam, Kecamatan Samarinda Ulu, dan Kecamatan Samarinda Kota. Data eksisting menyebutkan bahwa kapasitas debit terpasang sebesar 537,37 liter/detik atau 46.428.768 liter/hari, sedangkan dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan estimasi kebutuhan air bersih sebesar 49.472.850 liter/hari. Sehingga, unit produksi yang ada tidak cukup untuk mensuplai kebutuhan debit air yang diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, perlunya pengembangan kapasitas debit produksi dengan menambah kapasitas terpasang menjadi 1.821,89 liter/detik yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan air bersih dari tahun 2011 hingga tahun 2020.
