<![CDATA[AbstrakInfeksi cacing usus yang ditularkan melalui tanah (soil transmitted helminthiasis) merupakan masalah dunia terutama di negara yang sedang berkembang. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah infeksi cacing Trichuris trichiura. Pada tahun 2008 prevalensi infeksi cacing Trichuris trichiura antara 25,30% - 68,42% di Jakarta. Di Jakarta Barat sendiri adalah 25,30%. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian lagi untuk melihat apakah prevalensi di daerah tersebut masih sama atau lebih rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Jakarta Barat (SDN 01 PG). Diambil 90 anak sebagai sampel untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan feses dengan metode natif. Dari 90 anak, tidak ditemukan adanya telur cacing Trichuris trichiura ( prevalensi 0%). Tidak ditemukannya infeksi cacing Trichuris trichiura dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal, salah satunya adalah faktor lingkungan serta perilaku bersih dan sehat setiap anak. One reason is the infection of Trichuris trichiura. In 2008 showed the prevalence of Trichuris trichiura infection between 25.30% - 68.42% in Jakarta. In West Jakarta was 25.30%. This study was conducted in one elementary school in Jakarta Barat (SDN 01 PG). 90 children were taken as samples for examination stool with native method, and there was no founded the eggs of Trichuris trichiura (prevalence 0%).
