This study aims to determine the implementation of the Family Development Session of the family hope program in the Kelurahan Pekan Selesai, Selesai Subdistrict, Langkat Regency of North Sumatra. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection methods in the form of observation, documentation and interviews with the informants who have been determined. The results of this study indicate that the implementing agencies of the PKH Social and HR Service have carried out socialization about FDS at the district, sub-district, sub-district level and to beneficiaries, the existence of social assistants in implementing problem identification using the MPA technique (participatory assessment method) to recipients. Furthermore, the material learning stage shows that the compliance of the social facilitator has also implemented the FDS module learning, but there are still obstacles to the use of teaching material components for beneficiaries. The reporting stage shows that the social facilitator has complied with reporting on FDS implementation activities every month either manually by collecting hard copies or reports based on the E-PKH application.

Dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, industri kecil memiliki peran yang sangat strategis mengingat berbagai potensi yang dimilikinya. Potensi tersebut antara lain mencakup jumlah dan penyebarannya, penyerapan tenaga kerja, penggunaan bahan baku lokal, keberadaannya di semua sektor ekonomi dan ketahanannya terhadap krisis. Industri kecil bisa menjadi tempat aktualisasi diri individu-individu kreatif, yang bisa melahirkan gagasan-gagasan kreatif bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Banyak pekerja wanita yang terlibat menjadi pekerja kreatif, misalnya disubsektor kerajinan, fashion, desain dan seni pertunjukan. Ini bisa menjadi ajang penyetaraan gender karena dalam industri kecil, pekerja laki-laki dan perempuan memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk berkembang, selama mereka kreatif dan inovatif.Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka dirasa perlu diberikan pelatihan peningkatan ketrampilan pembuatan songket kepada pengrajin songket agar mampu menghasilkan songket yang berkualitas tinggi sesuai dengan keinginan pasar secara efisien dan efektif tanpa mengurangi nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam songket. Selain itu meningkatkan ketrampilan dalam strategi pemasaran agar memiliki kemampuan dalam memasarkan songket yang di produksi, sehingga mampu menciptakan dan memiliki banyak jaringan pemasaran. Perlunya diberikan pelatihan yang memampukan pengrajin songket menghitung total pendapatan penjualan dan total biaya sehingga mampu mengetahui berapa laba yang diperoleh per satu potong songket. Diharapkan setelah pendampingan, para mitra menjadi lebih meningkat pengetahuannya, mampu mengaplikasikan pengetahuan tersebut dalam pekerjaan sehari-harinya dan menularkan pengetahuan tersebut kepada pengrajin songket yang lain. Dengan demikian semua pengrajin songket akan lebih berkembang, menjadi semakin mandiri secara ekonomis, terjadi peningkatan pendapatan, pengrajin songket menjadi lebih produktif serta semakin optimis dalam berusaha songket sehingga perekonomian bangsa akan menjadi lebih baik.

The Collaborative Work Lecture with BKS West PTN is one of the community service programs conducted by 20 state universities where the University of North Sumatra is the host of the program. In the KKN program, we realize one of the tri dharma of higher education namely community empowerment. The aim of this program is that students are expected to gain learning experience through involvement in the community who directly find, formulate, solve and overcome problems that are in the field. The Community Service Program that we carry out is devoted to the community in Haranggaol Village, Haraggaol Horison District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province with the program "Community Empowerment of the Haranggaol Village, Haranggaol Horison District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province in an Effort to Improve Local Wisdom and Ecotourism in the Region of North Sumatra. This program is expected to be able to contribute to the community in the form of helping improve basic facilities and infrastructure as well as increasing the human resources available in the Haranggaol Basin so that local wisdom and ecotourism are of higher quality and help local communities maintain natural resources so that they are sustainable
