Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between practicum and student learning outcomes in the pre-pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method applied is descriptive quantitative research which is supported by data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects are students of Biology Education, University of Borneo Tarakan. The results of data analysis showed that most of the practicums were carried out in the pre-covid-19 pandemic but only a few practicums were carried out during the pandemic with different practicum forms. This indicates the occurrence of learning loss in learning that practices science. Practicum is closely related to student learning outcomes. The relationship tends to be linear where student learning outcomes can increase in line with the quantity and quality of the practicum. Keywords:  Learning Outcomes, Learning Loss, Practicum

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research was to analyze the feasibility of congklak learning media on materials of additives of addictive substances for the eighth-graders at SMP Islam Terpadu (IT) Ibnu Abbas Tarakan based on material expert, media expert, and practitioners. The research design was Research and the Development (RD), which refers to the 4-D (four D) model developed by Thiagarajan et al. 1974. This model includes the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. However, in this research, the researcher developed the learning media to the third stage D, the development stage. It was caused by the limitation of time and budget. The material expert validation analysis result was 80% in a feasible category. The media expert validation analysis result was 82% in a very feasible category. In addition, The result of the practitioners was 86% in a very feasible category. Based on the analysis results, it was concluded that the developed media had met the media eligibility standards. It was used as learning media. Keywords: : Learning Media, Congklak, Additives and Addictive Substances

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the critical thinking skills of students at MTs Negeri Tarakan through the implementation of online learning. This pre-experimental research used one shot case study design. The research subjects were students of class VIII C of MTs Negeri Tarakan, where sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The data was obtained from the results of critical thinking ability test in the form of description questions. The results of the one sample t-test showed that the t-count = -17.106 with dk= 34 and the t-table = 1.691. As the t-count t-table, the Ho was accepted, meaning that the average value of students’ critical thinking skills was lower than 70. The percentage of achievement of each indicator or critical thingking ability were 52% for providing a simple explanation (modearate category), 39% for concluding indicators (low category), 56% for providing further explanation (moderate category), and 71% for setting strategies and tactics (high category). The average achievement of critical thingking ability indicators was 54% (moderate category). Thus, it was necessary to train students’ critical thingking skills through the learning process by using the right model and applying critical thinking indicators. Keywords:  Critical Thinking Ability, Online Learning, Indicator

Abstract

Facilities need in the learning process; among the conveniences that can are the application of flexible teaching materials such as electronic student worksheets (E-LKPD). Student worksheets that apply in schools are still general. Good student worksheets are attractive and increase student insight. The study aimed to examine learners' feasibility and response to E-LKPD based on local potential. This research used the development model of ADDIE  (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). E-LKPD feasibility was assessed based on the average assessment result by material experts, media experts, and practitioners (teachers) with a feasibility percentage of 87,51, classified as very feasible. Learner's response obtained from average assessment on learners' response in big scale test with a percentage of 78,31, classified as attractive. This statement implies that    E-LKPD-based local potential was feasible for use in learning.

Abstract

Science subjects are one of the lessons that students often consider difficult, this can be seen from the students' learning outcomes which are not yet optimal. Apart from that, sometimes misconceptions are found when studying material in the field of science learning. This research aims to develop molecular structure teaching aids to support science learning. The type of research used is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results of the research were that the expert assessment was 85% with very appropriate criteria, and student response data was 95.6% with very interesting criteria. Apart from that, students stated that the teaching aids developed were very interesting, creative, easy to understand, and very good. Direct test results also show that there is an increase in students' understanding of using teaching aids. It can be concluded that the teaching aids developed are suitable and effective for use in the learning process in order to support students' learning in the field of science.
