Abstract

Some schools in certain regions of Indonesia are currently really dangerous because they are in the ring area of the fire. In the region, there are also schools located in disaster-prone areas. This research aims to describe modern education for sustainable development by building the online school as disaster solution in the modern era. This research is descriptive qualitative research using a social history approach. The design research method was carried out in four phases: data collection, data display, conclusions, and data condensation. The result of this research is the government should be building an online school as a disaster solution for the generation in the modern era to education for sustainable development.

Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of the Maslow's ontological level answer of happiness in modern education, which forms the perspectives of development and the modern cultural core of social life. As a prerequisite for the analysis, theory Maslow about the hierarchy of needs as the ontological foundations of happiness in modern education. The methodological basis of the research made is mix-method. This research takes sixty-one participants in the survey and using interviews to strengthen data in descriptive qualitative. It established the episteme sources of Maslow's works. The results of this analysis have projected onto the current situation in modern education. This projection's ontological components are the correlation of happiness with the hierarchy of needs, a combination of theoretical understanding and get happiness, value mediation of Maslow's theory to innovate modern education. Having examined the hierarchy of needs meanings, the author shows the perspectives of the enhanced comprehension of modern education and Maslow's theory. The vertical of the paradigmatically-differentiated hierarchy of needs in modern education development has been considered the place of cognitive-cultural diversity. The characteristic is given of the episteme of activity to achieve happiness in the focus of research education.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the competence of digital pedagogy of teachers towards the establishment of students’ digital ethics in the modernization of Indonesian education. This research uses the phenomenological approach to examine the essence of teachers' digital pedagogy competence. We collected the data using semi-structured interviews with five primary school teachers in Indonesia who have worked for more than three years. We chose the subjects based on their capability in guiding students in their routine. The results showed that the pedagogical teaching competence to establish the students’ digital ethics in education modernization are driven by some factors, namely: (1) the teachers have responsibility at work to self-actualize, (2) the teachers have high confidence to establish digital ethic in education modernization, and (3) the teachers use research and spiritual approaches to change the students’ ethics in education modernization. These three factors ultimately encourage teachers to establish digital ethics in education modernization. Therefore, it is important to establish the policy regarding the pedagogy digital competence. Furthermore, teachers can also take advantage of these findings by maximizing antecedent factors to increase digital pedagogy competence at work.
