<![CDATA[Gerakan refomasi sebagai proses menata kembali kehidupan bernegara dan bermasyarakat yang mengacu kepada nilai-nilai demokrasi dan hak asasi manusia telah dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan. Tantangan terberat adalah penataan kembali peran militer dalam konteks hubungan sipil dan militer yang demokratis. Terkait dengan persoalan ini, masalah redefinisi peran dan keterlibatan militer dalam konteks transisi demokrasi dapat mempengaruhi berhasil atau gagalnya proses demokratisasi itu sendiri. Militer tidak menyadari bahwa dalam masa demokratisasi ini, militer hanya pelaksana dari pemerintahan sipil. Paradigma baru militer tidak mengubah secara signifikan budaya dan posturnya dalam ruang sosial-politik, militer tetap berada dalam ruang konservatisme dengan kepercayaan pada supremasi sipil dalam pengelolaan negara. The Politics of Law Development of The Military Entitlement in Indonesia's Democracy Transition The reform movement as a process rearrangers the statehood and society that refers to the values of democracy and human rights has been faced with numerous challenges. The toughest challenge is the restructuring of the role of the military in the context of civil and military relations. Problem of related to this issue redefinition of the role and involment of the military in the context of democratic transition can influence the success of failure of the democratic process itself.
