Abstract

Problems often experienced by stroke patients are muscle weakness and inability to move, this can cause problems in carrying out activity of daily living (ADL) for post-stroke patients, because of limited movement and need the full help of others These patients feel useless and make them dissatisfied in living their lives, therefore it is necessary to take action to increase patient motivation, namely peer group support. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer group support on ADL motivation in post-stroke patients. This study used a quasi-experimental research design using one group Pre-Test-Post Test. The sampling technique in this study was consecutive sampling. The number of samples in this study were 16 post-stroke patients. The intervention in this study was Peer Group Support in post-stroke patients. The giving of Peer Group Support measures has an effect on increasing the motivation to do ADL independently of post-stroke patients at the Sibela and Gambir Sari Public Health Center, Surakarta with a p value of 0.001. Providing Peer Group Support for post-stroke patients to increase motivation in performing ADL independently, actions can be done more than once or programmed to maintain the quality of motivation. Abstract

Background: The most common complication in patients with diabetes mellitus tippe 2 (DM) is diabetic ulcers, where the tissue deformity occurs either partially (Partial Thickness) or completely (Full Thickness). If not handled properly and appropriately, ulcers can become infected. Where leg ulcers, infection, neuroarthropathy and peripheral artery disease are the causes of gangrene and lower limb amputations. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of wound healing in the treatment of diabetes mellitus wounds using modern dressing techniques. Methods: the literature review (LR) method uses meta-analysis where the data used is a database of searches using MEDLINE (PubMed), Google Scholar, Science Direct, Surgery Science and Sci-Hub. Reports published from 2010-2020 that focused on modern wound care dressings for wound healing of type 2 diabetes mellitus were identified. Results: Based on the analysis of the journal, there are nursing implications that have been compared from 10 journals, it was found that the treatment of type two diabetes mellitus wounds using modern dressing techniques is more effective in wound healing, by accelerating granulation and healing of the various types of dressings used, each of which has advantages. in terms of wound healing type 2 diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: The use of modern dressing techniques is effective in wound healing in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus wounds. Researchers suggest that they be able to conduct research related to modern wound care dressings such as the use of alginate dressings, foam dressings, hydrogel dressings, moisture dressings, silver dressings, hydrophilic polyurethane foam dressings, acellular matrix dressings, and others related to wound care using modern dressing techniques. . Further research needs to be done by paying attention to the latest evidence-based practice journals to enrich knowledge about wound care with modern dressing techniques for diabetes mellitus wounds.

Abstract

Background: Airway management is the most important thing in resuscitation and requires special skills in the management of emergencies, therefore the first thing that must be assessed is the smoothness of the airway, which includes airway examinations that can be caused by foreign bodies. The lack of oxygen is a cause of rapid death. Research Objectives The general objective of this research is to improve the ability of airway management skills ordinary people in Kateguhan, Sawit, Boyolali. Methods: This research is an experimental study with a Pre-Test-Post Test one Group control design approach. through testing research hypotheses. The population of this research is the cloud community of 50 respondents which are divided into two groups, 25 respondents in the intervention group and 25 respondents as a control group. Statistical test in the paired group uses the nonparametric Wilcoxon test and the non-paired uses Mann-Whitney. Results: Based on the results of the Wilcoxon analysis test it can be concluded that the 25 respondents who conducted training in simulation measures by way of air way management training specifically airway obstruction can be drawn the conclusion that the majority of ordinary people have good knowledge in terms of emergency handling abilities, especially in air way management measures p value 0.001 which means that there are significant differences between before and after training. In the control group there were also significant differences with a P value of 0.001. Based on the Mann-Whitney test analysis, there were significant differences between the intervention and control groups with a p value of 0.001. Conclusion: Airway management education and training courses for lay people continue to be held to improve the ability of the action skills.

Abstract

Bivariate analysis used the parametric test paired sample t-test to see the difference between the prepost-test intervention group and to see the difference between the prepost-test control group on the anxiety level using the nonparametric Wilcoxon test. Analysis of bivariate test to see the difference between groups using the independent sample t-test. Result: The results of the Wilcoxon test of the anxiety level control group p=0,274 (p=>0,05), meanwhile the results of the intervention group of the paired sample t-test intervention group there was a significant effect (p=0,000). The results of the independent sample t-test between the control and intervention groups were p=0,001 (p=<0,05). Conclusions: Butterfly hug therapy is an effective therapy to reduce anxiety in LDR with parents in nursing students. This therapy is expected to be applied and used as an intervention to reduce anxiety.
