Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan proses sains guna meningkatkan kemampuan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan pendekatan “R and D” penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Pati, Purbalingga, dan Sukoharjo Jawa Tengah. Tahapan penelitian mencakup pengembangan model dan uji keefektifan model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) keterampilan proses sains siswa dan guru SD pada umumnya rendah (4,08% dan 65,79%), (2) di SD keterampilan proses sains umumnya dikembangkan secara terintegrasi dengan pembelajaran yang berpola deduktif, (3) model pembelajaran berbasis peningkatan keterampilan proses sains didefinisikan sebagai proses pembelajaran yang menterjemahkan keterampilan proses sains ke dalam rangkaian proses pembelajaran di kelas, (4) model pembelajaran berbasis keterampilan proses sains secara signifikan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan proses sains siswa (dari 46,08% menjadi 67,27%).This research aims at developing the instructional model based on science process skill to improve the students’ science process ability and their achievement. Using “R and D” approach the reseach was conducted at Elementary schools within the regencies of Pati, Purbalingga and Sukoharjo Jawa Tengah – Central Java. The Phases cover the model development and mode effectiveness test. The findings indicate that 1) in general the science process skill of the students and the teachers are low (46,08% and 65,79%); 2) it is developed integratedly with the deductively learning pattern; 3) it is defined as a part of classroom learning process; 4) it significantly improves the students’ science ability process.
