Abstract

This researchis carried out aimed at seeing the improvement of students' abilities in the material of colligative properties of solutions using problem-based learning models using experimental methods. This methodis used to find the influence of the use of problem-based learning models on students' understanding of the colligative nature of solutions. This research was conducted in class XII IPA 1, with the research design used was a design that only used one group pretest (one group pretest – posttest design). The variable used in the study is the ability of students to understand the material of the colligative properties of the solution before and after using the problem-based learning model with the experimental method. The data obtained in the study were in the form of scores of student test results on the material of colligative properties of the solution before and after using the experimental method and also data on the results of student interviews. H asil research concluded that the use of problem-based learning models with experimental methods increases the ability of students to understand the colligative nature of solutions, where there is an increase of 67% from the initial result of 22% to 89% after the use of problem-based learning models with experimental methods.

Abstract

Freedom of learning is a curiculum set by the the government with the aim of giving Freedom to students to study according to their competence. Applied physics courses is one of the basic courses in the electrical engineering department. To make it easier for students to understand theory and practice, the researcher apply freedom of learning wuth the STEM. STEM is a learning method that combines several diciplines that produce solutions and products at the end of learning. The STEM method can hel students understand material, especially applied physics and aplly it so they can design and solve problems related to their knowledge in the electrical field. The researcher collected data, namely interview data conducted on several students who were randomly selected and represented in 1 project group as well as several students who took written exam. The result of the data analysis show that freedom to learn with STEM method in the Applied Physics course provides a basic understanding according to the field, especially the field of electrical engineering. Students are able to understand the basic measurements and electrical circuits.

Abstract

This Applied Physics course applies independent learning in learning activities in the classroom. The application of independent learning in this course is an effort to increase learning activities in class so that students can more easily participate in class learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative description method. Researchers collected data in the form of notes on the learning process and questionnaires at the end of the lesson and the final grades of the semester. The learning process data was taken on average from 32 students who had attended at least 12 face-to-face meetings in class. The average data that has been calculated is that during the learning process 67% of students are able to participate in learning activities with a score of 79 and 80. At a score of 81 – 100, there are 33% of students who are very able to participate in the learning process. The results of the written test data averaged 22 students with a percentage of about 69% of students who were quite capable in learning Applied Physics. As many as 3 students with a percentage of 9% needed guidance in learning Applied Physics. As many as 6 students with a percentage of 19% are capable in learning Applied Physics. There is 1 student with a percentage of 3% who is very capable in learning Applied Physics. Questionnaire data as supporting data that assesses the teaching process carried out by teaching lecturers, it can be seen that the average final score is 4.53 which is filled in by 47 students. Based on the data that has been analyzed, it can be concluded that the application of independent learning in Applied Physics courses can be applied but requires further efforts to improve in developing materials and adjusting technological developments

Abstract

The development of technology in education in addition to playing a role in delivering teaching can also have a great influence and impact on students. For this reason, in today's world of education, students are expected to be able to think critically. Critical thinking as a complex process requires a high level of cognitive processing of information. This learning concept can be applied to chemistry subjects such as to corrosion materials. The study used a mixed research method involving quantitative and qualitative methods. Sample selection using purposive sampling techniques based on consideration of learning outcomes, student learning styles based on considerations. The data obtained were analyzed using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques, and Paerson correlation. The application of the project-based learning model (PjBL) on corrosion material has been well applied so as to improve the critical thinking ability of students. In addition, there is a correlation between the application of the project-based learning model (PjBL) to the critical thinking skills of learners against corrosion materials. The test results obtained a large correlation value between syntactic variables and students' critical thinking skills of 0.991, and significance of 0.087.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Praktikum Perancangan Instalasi Listrik menjadi dasar perancangan atau perancangan instalasi listrik untuk sebuah bangunan atau rumah. Selain itu, mata kuliah ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menganalisis gambar dan rangkaian listrik, serta melatih kerjasama antar kelompok dalam perencanaan instalasi listrik. Praktikum Desain Instalasi Listrik dilakukan dengan seksama dan setiap mahasiswa yang mengikuti perkuliahan wajib mematuhi K3 (Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja) dan wajib memiliki peralatan lengkap sesuai SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia). Berdasarkan hasil observasi peneliti selama ini, kampus hanya menyediakan beberapa peralatan praktikum. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa dituntut untuk membeli atau meminjam alat agar dapat mengikuti praktikum mata kuliah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti ingin mengetahui permasalahan yang timbul atau timbulnya dari mata kuliah praktikum desain instalasi listrik, sehingga setiap mahasiswa dapat mengikuti praktikum tanpa menanggung beban tambahan, terutama bagi mahasiswa yang kurang beruntung.

Abstract

The contraction cone or intake is a very important part of wind tunnel design because it has a high impact on the quality of airflow in the test section. The design of the contraction cone aims to create the air pressure required at the time of entry of the test section without experiencing much turbulence. This research was conducted using an experimental method, where in this study it was carried out by testing, making 3 intake components or funnels of different sizes. The calculation results obtained funnel 1 contraction with a value of 11,466 m3 / s, funnel 2 contraction with a value of 12,266 m3 / s, and funnel 3 contraction with a value of 12,533 m3 / s. These results show that the size of the contraction affects the wind flow rate inside the test chamber. Where changes in the size of contractions will increase the wind flow rate, which is caused by the increasing size of the contraction cross-sectional area so that the shelter area or wind flow area that will move towards the test room increases in size or area
