Abstract

Minat baca di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, padahal minat baca merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang dapat menjadi penentu hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini disusun menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Setelah melalui beberapa tahap analisis, peneliti menemukan beberapa artikel jurnal yang keseluruhan isinya relevan dengan judul penelitian ini. Hasilnya, ditemukan bahwa minat baca memang memiliki pengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar, akan tetapi itu bergantung pada mata pelajaran apa yang dipelajari

Abstract

Kegiatan bersih pantai dan reboisasi ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat TIM Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) UIN Sunan kalijaga Yogyakarta. Bersih pantai dilakukan untuk mengurangi sampah yang terdapat di pantai dan bertujuan untuk menambah daya tarik wisatawan serta menciptakan kenyamanan bagi pegunjung. Selain itu, kegiatan reboisasi juga dilakukan untuk menambah keindahan pantai. Tanaman yang ditanam adalah cemara laut. Tanaman cemara ialah salah satu jenis tanaman di sepanjang pesisir pantai. Pentingnya reboisasi di sepanjang pantai adalah untuk mengurangi abrasi, dan mengurangi dampak buruk peristiwa erosi angin. Tanaman cemara atau Casuarina equisetifolia dapat hidup di tanah yang minim akan unsur hara dan air. Masyarakat ikut andil dalam pengelolaan tempat wisata. Kelompok mangrove mempunyai program reboisasi di pantai Pasir Kadilangu. Penanaman tanaman cemara ini sudah terlaksana di Dusun Pasir Kadilangu Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Sebanyak 2000 bibit pohon cemara ditanam sekitar lima hektar tanah. Tiga hektar di sepanjang pantai dan dua hektar di lahan kosong sekitar tempat wisata dan parkir kendaraan. Penanaman ini diikuti oleh masyarakat dusun pasir kadilangu yang tergabung dalam kelompok mangrove, dan TIM PGMI UIN Sunan Kalijaga juga turut serta dalam kegiatan tersebut.

Abstract

After the Covid-19 Pandemic, face-to-face (FTF) learning was adopted in elementary schools in the province of the special region of Yogyakarta. However, the introduction of online learning came with its own set of issues, particularly those relating to student learning self-regulation. After adjusting to online learning for at least two years, students must readjust. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficiency of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning paradigm for Self Regulated Learning (SRL) students in scientific learning following the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses the experimental method of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research was conducted at a islamic elementary school in Yogyakarta in the 2021/2022 school year. The population of this study were students of class IV consisting of 4 classes namely A, B, C, and D. The samples of this study were students of class IV A, totaling 23 students as the control class and IV C, totaling 21 students as the experimental class. Selection of control and experimental classes using cluster random sampling technique. The research findings show that the PjBL model is effective in improving students' SRL in science subjects post-pandemic.

Abstract

Background: Many pre-service Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers experience difficulties in solving physics-related science problems despite understanding the underlying scientific concepts. These difficulties are frequently associated with inadequate mastery of basic mathematical skills. Although previous studies have reported a relationship between mathematics and physics learning, empirical evidence examining basic mathematical ability as a predictor of science performance among pre-service elementary Islamic teachers remains limited. Aims: This study aimed to examine the influence of basic mathematical ability on the science performance of pre-service Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers enrolled in the Advanced Science course and to determine the extent to which basic mathematical ability predicts students' science performance. Methods: A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 63 fourth-semester of pre-service Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a basic mathematics test covering number operations, fractions, decimals, and exponents, and a science performance test covering temperature and heat, Newton's laws, work and energy, impulse and momentum, quantities and units, and the solar system. After satisfying the assumptions of normality and linearity, the data were analyzed using simple linear regression. Results: The findings revealed that basic mathematical ability significantly predicted science performance (p < .001). The regression analysis yielded a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.578, indicating that basic mathematical ability explained 57.8% of the variance in students' science performance. The positive regression coefficient further demonstrated that higher levels of basic mathematical ability were associated with better science performance. Conclusions: Basic mathematical ability serves as a foundational cognitive prerequisite and a strong predictor of science performance among pre-service Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers. These findings extend the evidence on the central role of mathematical competence in science learning by demonstrating its substantial predictive contribution within the context of Islamic elementary teacher education.
