Abstract

PT. Apollo Aneka Persada (AAP) is a plastic injection company that focus on making pipe accessory (pipe and thread protector). thread protector, bevel protector, end cap, separator bar, a-rap, spacer, bumper ring, and varnish coating for pipe. International Maritime Organization (IMO) will implement a reduction from 3.5% to 0.5% sulphur for every ship, based on the new regulation that have been made in 2016. PT. There are only 2 options, whether changing the fuel or applying the scruber tank. PT. AAP has a new product for the scrubber tank and it is called Packing Material. PT. AAP still does not have any design for Packing Material and PT. AAP needs to make a design for the mold. The design was made by Solidworks in 3D model, and then converted into 2D to ease the mold maker on seeing the draft. This new product also needs to be controlled on the quality, so this research is focused on making the design of Packing Material and making a Quality Plan. This Quality Plan is to control the quality of Packing Material on every process production based on the acceptance criteria that QA Department have made.

Abstract

PT. X is a shipping company, especially in gas and oil sector. One of the jobs needed by the company is about provision of vessel and fulfillment of user requests by sending the required spare part components. The purpose of this research was about to find the average time from breakdown spare part components by using the method Mean Time To Fail (MTTF) as an idea in determining the interval schedule for replacement of spare part components. Besides that, the other method used in inventory control policies (Economic Order Quantity) in determining the optimal order size, safety stock of inventory, and reorder point. The results of this research showed that engine of CB RURIK 01 vessel had the highest frequency of downtime and replacement of spare parts interval proposed based on MTTF calculation, were Injector 65.10101-7097 (21 days), Piston 65.02501-0707 (24 days), Valve Ex 65.04101-0068 (13 days), dan Valve In 65.04101-0067 (13 days). Besides that, the result of the calculation of optimal Q for the component of Injectors 65.10101-7097 was 14 unit, Piston 65.02501-0707 was 14 unit, Valve Ex 65.04101-0068 was 54 unit, and Valve In 65.04101-0067 was 55 unit.

Abstract

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (PT TMMIN) is the largest manufacturing company in the automotive sector in Indonesia. PT TMMIN as an exporter has exported 3 types of products, that is cars, engines and car components, and spare parts with Toyota brand. One of PT TMMIN's export activities is Component Part Order (CPO). PT TMMIN has developed and created a new system called CPO New System which functions as a tool to facilitate the process of handling CPO orders. The process of making CPO New System is divided into 2 stages. The first stage has been developed and has been implemented. The second stage of making this system cannot be done yet. The development of this system is hampered due to the delay in the process of handling CPO so that repairs need to be done. The provided solution is to create a user friendly dashboard and make an Excel Macro to shorten operator work time. The expected results from the implementation of this improvement are that the CPO handling process runs smoothly and there is no delay in the process. Another benefit obtained by PT TMMIN is a decrease in working time by 46,2 hours per month so that worker productivity can increases.
