Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam desain mebel terdapat beberapa aspek yang saling terkait yaitu bentuk, konstruksi, kenyamanan (ergonomi) dan estetika. Semua aspek tersebut berpengaruh terhadap tercapainya pemenuhan persyaratan kebutuhan fungsi, baik yang bersifat teknis maupun non teknis bagi para pengguna. Tujuan penulisan makalah ini adalah untuk menjelaskan berbagai sistem konstruksi khususnya yang di aplikasikan pada kursi sofa dan kursi makan buatan Jepara. Produk mebel Jepara umumnya di hiasi motif ukiran sehingga penerapan teknik konstruksinya berbeda dengan mebel tanpa ukiran. Sambungan antara dua bidang vertical dan horizontal yang permukaannya di ukir, perlakuan teknisnya menggunakan cara tertentu. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahapan studi : survei lapangan, kajian pustaka, foto dokementasi, gambar hasil pengamatan. Metoda penelitian yang dipakai adalah analisis deskriptif, tentang teknik sambungan kursi bermotif dan tanpa ukiran. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah ditemukan adanya perbedaan perlakuan penerapan teknik sambungan antara komponen/bidang kursi berukir dengan kursi tanpa ukiran. Teknik tersebut didasarkan atas  pertimbangan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh suatu material seperti sifat ketahanan : daya tekan, tarik, ikat dari komponen bidang polos dengan berukir. Berbagai tipe desain kursi yang diproduksi oleh pengrajin mebel asal Jepara, umumnya mempergunakan material jati. Kayu jati memiliki karakteristik : keuletan, kepadatan cambium yang baik, bertahan pada suhu lembab dan kering, permukaan kulit berserat artistik, lubang dan purus (pen) sambungan tidak rapuh, serta memenuhi syarat bila dijadikan media ukiran. \Kata kunci : Sambungan, Purus, Motif, Ergonomi, Artistik, Mebel, Jepara ABSTRACT In design furniture there are some aspect interrelated namely form, construction, comfort ( ergonomics ) and æsthetics. Products furniture jepara generally in decorate motives engraving so that the application techniques construction was different with furniture without engraving. The connection between the two fields of vertical and horizontal surface on the carving, technical treatment using a certain way. This research was conducted through the stages of study: field survey, literature review, dokementasi photos, pictures of the observations. The research method used is descriptive analysis, about the seat connection technique without carving and patterned. The conclusion that can be drawn is found difference application of treatment technique of the existence of a connection between the component/line with ornate chairs without engraving. These techniques are based on the consideration of the characteristics possessed by a material such as the nature of resilience: power press, pull the belt off the field components, plain and ornate. Various types of chair design produced by craftsmen from Jepara furniture, generally use teak material. Teak wood has a characteristic: tenacity, the density of the cambium, survive at a temperature of moist and dry, fibrous skin surface, artistic holes and purus (pen) connection is not fragile, as well as qualify when used as media of carving. Abstract

Bandung City has a very dynamic tourism potential and creative industry. In addition, its mild climate, beautiful scenery, and cultural heritage make it a favourite destination for tourists. Hotels are also an important part of cultural tourism in Bandung. The use of hotel interior visuals is not only aesthetics but also an educational element about local cultural heritage for tourists who stay or visit. This research aims to analyse the application of Parahyangan motifs in the interior design of hotels in Bandung City. Hotels in the city centre were chosen due to their strategic location and represent local cultural values in the interior design. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and content analysis. Data were collected through a literature review, photo documentation of the interiors, and analysis of the motif elements used. The results show that Parahyangan motifs, such as Merak Ngibing, are widely used in city centre hotels to enhance aesthetic value and strengthen local cultural identity. This application provides an interesting visual experience for tourists and serves as an educational medium to introduce the diversity of West Java batik motifs to the wider community. In conclusion, the application of Parahyangan motifs in hotel interior design in Bandung can elevate local cultural heritage while creating a harmonious modern atmosphere.
