Abstract

A quasy-experimental research with one group without control group design was applied to 40 samples who planned to be operated by a spinal anesthesia using the HRS-A (Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety). Data of the research was analyzed by using Wilcoxon rank signed. Research results showed that 40% samples experienced severe anxiety level before receiving aromatherapy, and 42.5% samples experienced moderate anxiety level after intervention. Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant effect of aromatherapy on the client’s anxiety level prior to spinal anesthesia operative procedure (p = 0.00). It is recommended to give lavender to clients before getting an operative procedure as a part of a standard operating procedure.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to survey about the graduate's working appearance based on his / her leader and colleague including the integrity capacity, communication, competency, information and technology, partnership, and self development. A quantitative research by applying survey was conducted to 42 samples (21 leaders and 21 colleagues) gained from 21 users. Research results showed that by enlarge the capacity of integrity, communication, competency, information and technology, partnership, and self development of the graduates were in good category resulted of mean score ranging from 2.57 – 3.14. However, the capability to communicating in English actively, browsing internet, being a team motivator, and involving in profession / community organization were in poor category.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to examine the expected skill types of graduates of Semarang Health Polytechnic. A quantitative research by applying survey was conducted to 17 samples (users) used a purposive sampling technique.Research results showed that users more expected to graduates to have soft skills in term of honesty, discipline, and communication skills. Furthermore, users also hoped that the graduates should be able to speak in foreign languages, have more training, and be capable in operating information and technology. In addition, users requested to the graduates to have particular skills such as wound care (diabetic wound care), hypnobirthing, pest control, catering diet, and radiation protection officer. It is recommended to the management of Semarang Health Polytechnic to set soft skills as local capacity as well as add some particular skills to be a part of certification in each department.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penderita skizofrenia di dunia mencapai 18%. Penderita skizofrenia di Indonesia mencapai 11,6%. Penderita skizofrenia secara umum menunjukkan gejala kecemasan dan perilaku kekerasan. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) telah terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap kesehatan fisik dan psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intervensi SEFT untuk menurunkan kecemasan dan perilaku kekerasan pada pasien schizofrenia. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi experiment two group pretest- posttest dengan sampel sebanyak 55 orang untuk kelompok eksperimen dan 55 orang untuk kelompok kontrol. Intervensi SEFT versi komplit. Kecemasan diukur dengan HARS-A dan perilaku kekerasan diukur dengan Modifikasi Manifest Anxiety Scale dan Novaco Anger Scale. Hasil: Gambaran kecemasan dan perilaku kekerasan menunjukkan penurunan pada kelompok eksperimen. Penurunan kecemasan dari tingkat sedang pada pretest menjadi tingkat normal pada posttest. Penurunan perilaku kekeraran dari tingkat sangat berat pada pretest menjadi tingkat ringan pada posttest. Intervensi SEFT menunjukkan penurunan tingkat kecemasan secara signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol (t=-5,556; p=0,000). Analisa data menggambarkan penurunan perilaku kekerasan secara signifikan antara eksperimen dan kontrol dengan (t=16,42; p=0,000). Kesimpulan: SEFT efektif terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan dengan penurunan sebesar 38,70% dan penurunan tingkat perilaku kekerasan dengan penurunan sebesar 52,14% pasien skizofrenia.

Abstract

This research is proper dose of Qb results in adequate URR upon 65%. To evaluate the effect of Qb based on weight on (URR) and MAP in CKD patients with hemodialysisThe study was quasi- experimental pre-post test two group design. The populations were patients with CKD and the samples were 30 subjects, 15 each group. The samples were recruited by consecutive sampling. URR were measured by ureum on pre-post hemodialysis. The setting of Qb by 4 x weight and (4 x BB) -10%. The data were analyzed using the setting of Qb by (4 x weight)-10% was better on URR and MAP than the setting of Qb by 4xweight in CKD patients with hemodialysis.
