Abstract

Bakteriological examinations of samples consisted of ducklings, duck's eggs feed and rice bran collected from Alabio market, South Kalimantan were conducted in the laboratory during the year 1992 and 1993 . Result of the examinations showed that 22 isolates of Salmonella Hadar, were isolated from 180 internal organ of ducklings (12 .2%), while 1 isolate of Salmonella Typhimurium (0 .5%), and 1 isolate of Salmonella Virchow (0 .5%) was isolated respectively from 180 duck's eggs. Besides, other bacteria were also isolated namely Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas sp., Klebsiella sp ., Citrobacter sp . Enterobacter sp, Proteus sp., and Serratia sp . Abstract

Source of poultry meat in Indonesia is currently dominated by chicken while local resources such as ducks have the potential to grow and be used as an alternative meat producer. Duck contribution towards the provision of a relatively small meat of 2.29%, compared with free-range chicken to reachs 20.33%. Sources of duck meat in Indonesia comes from local duck, and culled female ducks. Acceptance of most local duck meat is still relatively low, although in some areas local duck dishes are excellent. Meat ducks are generally less desirable, because taste and smell is different from chicken. Because consumers are not accustomed to the taste of typical meat, especially those that give the sensation of irregularities off meat – flavor or smell fishy/ rancid. Similarly, the color of duck meat is darker than that of chicken meat, high fat content of about 2.7 to 6.8%, which also influences consumer preferences. The high fat content, especially acid-unsaturated fatty acids in meat duck gives a tendency to produce off – flavors. Efforts to increase the consumption of duck meat should be based on the cause of the lack of acceptance by consumers. The smell of rancid meat duck is the most dominant cause of which is not liked by consumers. Efforts to reduce the off flavor of duck meat could be by adding antioxidant in feed stuffs. Abstract

Cihateup duck is one of the local Indonesian poultry genetic resources originated from West Java. These ducks are raised in Tasikmalaya and its surrounding area. Cihateup duck raised as layer or meat type duck is potential to provide business opportunities for people in West Java. For future development of Cihateup duck, some important potential characteristics of Cihateup ducks are required. This paper describes the phenotype performance, rearing management of Cihateup ducks and its genetic relationship with other ducks. Cihateup ducks have longer neck, wing, femur and tibia compared with other Indonesian ducks. Egg production (200 egg/head/year) is lower than Alabio and Mojosari ducks. The quality of meat (taste and flavour) is less preferred by consumers because of its odor. Genetic relationship between Cihateup duck with local ducks in Java is closer than Alabio ducks from South Kalimantan. Key words: Cihateup duck, performance, genetic resource

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan multimedia interaktif yang layak digunakan, mudah dipelajari siswa dan dapat dipakai untuk pembelajaran individual, (2) mengetahui keefektifan multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan pada mata pelajaran berita wacana lisan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang dipadu dengan model pengembangan pembelajaran Dick dan Carey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; (1) materi mata pelajaran  kualifikasi sangat baik; (2) desain pembelajaran kualifikasi sangat baik, (3) rekayasa perangkat lunak dan desain grafis kualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil pengujian hipotesis membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif dengan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media cetak dan audio. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh thitung = 3,328 pada taraf signifikansi α = 0.05 dengan dk 56 diperoleh ttabel = 1.67, sehingga thitung > ttabel, efektifitas penggunaan multimedia interaktif = 80.46%.  Disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif sebesar 80,46% lebih tinggi dari kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media cetak dan audio sebesar 71.72%. Kata Kunci: pengembangan  multimedia interaktif berbasis internet, berita wacana lisan Abstract: This study aimed to: (1) generate a viable interactive multimedia use, easy to learn and can be used for the students' individual learning, (2) determine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia that is developed on the subjects of news of oral discourse. This type of research is the development of research development model Borg and Gall combined with learning development model of Dick and Carey. The results showed; (1) The subject matter is very good qualification; (2) instructional design excellent qualifications, (3) software engineering and graphic design excellent qualifications. Hypothesis testing results prove that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students that learned using interactive multimedia learning outcomes of students that learned to use the print and audio media. This is indicated by the data processing results obtained t = 3.328 at significance level α = 0:05 to 56 hp obtained table = 1.67, so thitung> ttable, the effective use of interactive multimedia = 80.46%. It was concluded that the results of the study group of students that learned using interactive multimedia amounted to 80.46% higher than the group of students that learned to use the print and audio media by 71.72%.
