Abstract

This experimental aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning type Think Talk Write (TTW) towards the students' mathematical representation skill in Comparative material. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 22 Bandarlampung in academic year 2017/2018 which were distributed into eleven classes. The sample of this study were all students of class VII G and VII I selected by using purposive sampling technique. This research used pretest posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical representation. Analysis of this research data used t test. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that Cooperative learning Think Talk Write (TTW) type was not effective towards students' mathematical representation skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi Perbandingan.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 22 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang terdistribusi dalam 11 kelas.  Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII G dan VII I yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest posttest control group design.  Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.  Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji t.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) tidak efektif terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa Kata kunci: efektivitas, representasi matematis, think talk write
