Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning model of think pair share type towards students mathematical representations skill. The design which was used was one group pretest-posttest with the population was all students of grade seventh of SMPN 20 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2015/2016 and the research samples were students of VIIH class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of students mathematical representations skill were obtained by test. Based on the resultof this research, it was concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model of think pair share type was influence towards students mathematical representations skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest dengan populasinya seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 20 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIH yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kemampuan representasi matematis siswa diperoleh dari tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pengaruh, representasi matematis, think pair share
