Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of guided-invention learning model viewed by students understanding of mathematical concepts. The design which was used was pretest posttest control design with the population was all students of grade eight of SMPN Satu Atap 2 Negerikaton in academic year of 2014/2015 and the samples were all students in population that were chosen by total sampling. The data of understanding of mathematical concepts were obtained by essay test. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that the implementation of the guided-invention learning model was effective viewed by students understanding of mathematical concepts.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control design dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Satu Atap 2 Negerikaton tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel adalah seluruh siswa dalam populasi yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Data pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diperoleh dari tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan penerapan bahwa model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep, penemuan terbimbing
