Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the comparison of student’s mathematical representations skill between think talk write and think pair share learning model. The research population was all students of grade 10th of SMAN 1 Metro in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into six classes, then it was taken two classes as samples by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical representations skill. Based on result of research, it can be concluded that student’s mathematical representations skill in think talk write was higher than think pair share learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa antara model pembelajaran think talk write dan think pair share. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Metro tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdiri dari enam kelas, kemudian diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dalam model pembelajaran think talk write lebih tinggi daripada think pair share.Kata kunci: representasi matematis, think pair share, think talk write
