This research was motivated by the lack of critical thinking skills and results of the economic study . The purpose of this research was to determine the differences in critical thinking skills by Problem Based Learning Model and Discovery Learning Model and the correlation with the economic learning outcomes . The population were 90 students with a total sample of 45 students. The analysis result showed ( 1 ) critical thinking skills of students whose learning was using Problem Based Learning Model was higher than Discovery Learning Model ( 2 ) the results of student whose learning was using Problem Based Learning Model was higher than Discovery Learning Model ( 3 ) there was a relationship between critical thinking skills and the results of the economic study.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar ekonomi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning dan hubungan dengan hasil belajar ekonomi. Populasi penelitian ini 90 siswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 45 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan (1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (2) Hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning (3) Ada hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar ekonomi.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, discovery learning, hasil belajar, problem based learning
