<![CDATA[Sebagai solusi atas permasalahan volume sampah yang kian meningkat, ketiadaan Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir (TPA), dan keterbatasan lahan sebagai lahan TPA di Kota Bandung, Pemerintah Kota Bandung merencanakan untuk membangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Sampah (PLTSa). Namun. banyak masyarakat yang menolak dengan alasan timbulnya dampak lingkungan yang membahayakan, tetapi banyak juga masyarakat yang mendukung dengan alasan PLTSa Gedebage merupakan solusi permasalahan persampahan di Kota Bandung. Untuk dapat mengetahui dampak positif (manfaat) serta dampak negatif (biaya) yang ditimbulkan dari keberadaan PLTSa Gedebage, dilakukan analisis biaya manfaat sosial PLTSa Gedebage bagi masyarakat sekitar. Sebagai acuan penentuan variabel biaya dan manfaat sosial PLTSa Gedebage dalam studi ini, digunakan variabel biaya manfaat keberadaan PLTSa yang diperoleh dari hasil telaah referensi dan juga hasil survei primer ke sekitar lokasi PLTSa Bantargebang. Dari hasil studi dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk masyarakat yang berada di sekitar PLTSa, Gedebage, dimana PLTSa Gedebage (incinerator) dibangun dari tahun 2011 hingga batas waktu berakhir pada tahun 2032, lebih banyak menimbulkan dampak negative daripada positifnya. Secara ekonomi, PLTSa Gedebage dengan teknologi pirolisis akan lebih menguntungkan ketika dilihat dari lingkungan.
