Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to determine: a. How does the management of the school committee in improving the quality of education at SD Islam (Islamic Elementary School) Al Azhar 29 Semarang, b. What are the factors supporting and inhibiting the management of the school committee in improving the education quality of Islamic Elementary School Al-Azhar 29 Semarang. The results of this study indicate that the management of the school  committee in improving the quality of education at Islamic Elementary School Al-Azhar 29 Semarang, is good enough. The management of the school committee in improving the quality of education was carried out by optimizing four of school committee role , namely: advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, and the mediator agency. The supporting factors of the management of the School Committee were the level of support from parents, the boards of association (Jam’iyyah) are dominated by mother. Beside that, the inhibiting factor were individualy activity of association board, some of association boards do not do their duties.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: a. Bagaimana pengelolaan komite sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SD Islam Al Azhar 29 Semarang, b. Apa faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengelolaan komite sekolahdalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SD Islam Al Azhar 29 Semarang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan yang dijalankan Komite Sekolah SDIA 29 dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDI Al Azhar 29 Semarang, sudah cukup baik. Pengelolaan Komite Sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutupendidikan, dilaksanakan dengan mengoptimalkan empat peran komite sekolah, yakni: advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, dan mediator agency. Faktor pendukung pengelolaan Komite Sekolah adalah besarnya dukungan dari wali murid, pengurus Jam’iyyah di SD Islam Al Azhar 29Semarang didominasi oleh kaum ibu. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah kesibukan pribadi dari masing-masing pengurus Jami’yyah, masih adanya pengurus Jam’iyyah yang tidak melaksanakan tugasnya.Kata-kata Kunci: Jam’iyyah, Komite Sekolah, Mutu pendidikan, Pengelolaan.
