Abstract

Hepatitis B Virus can be transmitted by pregnant women to the fetus during labor. Therefore Hepatitis B examination during pregnancy is very necessary to find out whether during pregnancy pregnant women are infected with the Hepatitis B virus or not, so prevention can be done immediately. The purpose of this community service activity is to determine hepatitis B infection in pregnancy through HBsAg and Anti-HBs examination with a rapid test in Kediri District. The Community service activities is done by HBsAg and Anti HBs examination with Rapid Test, and provide counseling about Hepatitis B in pregnant women. Results of this community service showed from 100 pregnant women, obtained the age of  of pregnant women 26-30 years (32%), the highest gestational age are 7 months (21%), the highest number of gravidas was gravida 2 (47%). Knowledge about Hepatitis B after counseling is 92% of knowledge in good category. 6% of pregnant women were infected with the Hepatitis B virus.Keywords: Hepatitis B, Pregnant Woman, Hepatitis B Screening.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSodium nitrite is one of the preservatives used in meat to obtain good color and prevent microbial growth. However, please note that the addition in food should not exceed the permitted limits so that it won’t give any negative affect to human’s health. Permenkes No. 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988 about food additives limit the maximum use of the preservatine nitrite in processed meat product that is 125 mg/kg. Excessive consumption of nitrit can cause poisoning or nitrites are carcinogenic. The object of this study were 15 brands of sausages which are consist of chicken and beef sausages in Denpasar. Analysis of nitrite content in sausages using spectrophotometric method was measured at wavelength of 520 nm. Of the 15 brands of sausages samples studied, the results showed that levels of nitrite peak in chicken sausage of 12,004 mg/kg and nitrite levels as low as 0.395 mg/kg. Meanwhile the results showed that levels of nitrite peak in beef sausage of 12.086 mg/kg mg/kg and nitrite levels as low as 0,809 mg/kg. The study of 15 brands of sausages in Denpasar shows that all brands of sausages does not exceed the maximum limit the use of sodium nitrite according Permenkes 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988.ABSTRAKNatrium nitrit merupakan salah satu bahan pengawet yang digunakan pada daging untuk memperoleh warna yang baik dan mencegah pertumbuhan mikroba. Namun perlu diperhatikan bahwa penambahan pada makanan tidak boleh melebihi batas yang diperbolehkan agar tidak memberikan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan manusia. Permenkes No. 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988 tentang Bahan Tambahan Pangan membatasi penggunaan maksimum pengawet nitrit pada produk daging olahan yaitu 125 mg/kg. Konsumsi nitrit yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan keracunan atau nitrit bersifat karsinogenik. Objek penelitian ini adalah 15 merek sosis yang terdiri dari sosis ayam dan sosis sapi di Denpasar. Analisis kandungan nitrit pada sosis menggunakan metode spektrofotometri diukur pada panjang gelombang 520 nm. Dari 15 merek sampel sosis yang diteliti, didapatkan hasil bahwa kadar nitrit tertinggi pada sosis ayam sebesar 12.004 mg/kg dan kadar nitrit sebesar 0,395 mg/kg. Sedangkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar puncak nitrit pada sosis sapi sebesar 12,086 mg/kg mg/kg dan kadar nitrit sebesar 0,809 mg/kg. Penelitian terhadap 15 merek sosis di Denpasar menunjukkan bahwa semua merek sosis tidak melebihi batas maksimal penggunaan natrium nitrit menurut Permenkes 722/Menkes/Per/IX/1988.

Abstract

Introduction: Exposed to a hot environment for work is a situation that can potentially pose a danger to the safety and health of workers. Besides resulting in pain and injury, it can also cause occupational diseases. Blacksmithing was carried out with furnace and open flame, where the iron that will be heated with a sharp object repeatedly were sharpened again. The working process is quite heavy with exposure to heat radiation from the furnace and dust increasing fatigue and workload of a blacksmith. Therefore, to avoid the occurrence of health problems caused by exposure to high heat furnaces, a need for an ergonomic and good chimney that can provide comfort for its workforce. The purpose of this research is to reduce levels of dust in the air, fatigue, workload, and increasing blacksmith productivity in Batu Sangiang Village, Tabanan with furnace redesign. Methods this is an experimental research study. This research was conducted in the Batu Sangiang Village, Tabanan with a sample of 15 workers. Data collected include: levels of dust in the air, fatigue, workload, and work productivity. Before setting up a different test, the data normality was tested using Shapiro-Wilk test with a confidence level α = 0.05. In normal distributed data, Paired Sample t-test with α = 0.05 was used and abnormal distributed data were analysed using the Wilcoxon different test, α = 0.05, Results After working furnace was redesigned, decreased levels of dust in the air 89.20%, 24.03% reduction in fatigue, reduced workload of 14.48% and 83.26% increase in productivity. Results analysis using Paired Sample t-test, the amount of dust in the air, fatigue and workload in Period I and Period II, there is a significant difference (p <0.05), as well as analysis data using Wilcoxon test, labor productivity in Period I and period II, there is a significant difference (p <0.05). Conclusion: From this study we can conclude, after the furnace redesign was done, there was a significant decrease in the levels of dust in the air, fatigue and workload, and there was a significant increase in labour productivity. Suggested artisan blacksmith always applies and pay attention to the principle of ergonomics for improvements such as the redesign of the furnace shown to reduce levels of dust in the air, fatigue, and the workload and increase productivity.Keywords: Furnaces redesign, Levels of dust in the air, Fatigue, Workload and work productivity.
