Abstract

It is the fact that technology has developed rapidly today. Such a development has influenced communication pattern among people, including communication in the field of education, particularly the process of instruction in a class between teacher and student. Audio visual aids began to be utilized to deliver educational messages. In this case, these audio visual aids were functioned  not merely as device aids in education but more than that they can function as an effecitve educational message deliverer. To support the success of teaching and learning process in a class, the utilization of audio visual aids need to be maximized. The utilization of instructional media, especially the ones based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a must and need to be adopted by all teachers today if they wish to have effective and efficient instructions. This is valid for not only teachers who work in formal educational institution like a school, but also for teachers working in non-formal educational institution such as educational park of the Quran (TPQ).
Rereading the Concept of Nusyūz in Islamic Marriage Law with Qira'ah Mubādalah Khoirotin Nisa'; Muslih Muslih; Abu Hapsin

Abstract

Islam exists in order to uphold justice. Likewise with families, where there are often unfair relationships between husband and wife, there are so many obstacles which can threaten the harmony of marriage. So far the issue of nusyūz is often connected to the wife and the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) confirms this. How Islamic law regulates nusyūz and how the perspective of qira'ah mubādalah about this nusyūz is are the main questions of this study. This study uses normative legal research method with descriptive technique. Data collection was carried out by literary study and then they were analyzed qualitatively by the deductive method. The results of this study are as follow: Nusyūz according to Islamic law (KHI) is conceptualized as a wife's disobedience to her husband, such as reluctance to have intercourse, surly in front of her husband, leaving the house without the husband's permission and others which make the husband dislike. If nusyūz occurs then it is resolved by: giving advice, separating beds, and hitting. Mubādalah as a method of interpretation of texts which is reciprocal, in terms of family relations between husband and wife, defines nusyūz as disobedience to household commitments so it applies to husband and wife. Nusyūz settlement by beating is considered as an act of violence so it should not be done. Inviting reconciliation to return to commitment is the best way according to QS. An Nisa': 128.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tentang konsep universitas Islam menurut Ashraf. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif di mana pengumpulan datanya dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan dan datanya kemudian dianalisis dengan cara deskriptif. Idealnya, sebuah universitas Islam harus memiliki konsep yang luas tentang pendidikan Islam yang tidak membatasi dirinya hanya mengajarkan ilmu-ilmu keislaman semata, tetapi harus mencakup pengajaran semua subjek karena semuanya berdasarkan pada tauhid. Selanjutnya, sebuah universitas Islam seharusnya tidak hanya memberikan pengajaran dan pelatihan yang hanya mengisi otak para mahasiswanya saja tetapi lebih dari itu harus bertujuan untuk menghasilkan manusia yang tercerahkan dengan ilmu pengetahuan yang benar dan watak yang mulia. Selain itu, para mahasiswanya harus mampu bekerja untuk kesejahteraan umat manusia berdasarkan landasan spiritual. Sebuah universitas Islam idealnya juga harus memberikan prioritas untuk melakukan penelitian sehingga harus memiliki pusat penelitian yang baik untuk memfasilitasi para penelitinya yang berkualitas untuk semua cabang ilmu pengetahuan.Abstract: Initiating an Ideal University: A Study of Syed Ali Ashraf’s Thought. The objective of this research is to study the concept of Islamic university according to Ashraf. This is a qualitative research whose data were collected through library research and using the method of descriptive analysis. An Islamic university should have a broad concept of Islamic education that does not limit itself only to give instruction of traditional Islamic sciences, but it should include all subjects since they are based on tawhid. Furthermore, an Islamic university should provide not only instruction and training to fulfill the mind of its students but more than that it should be aimed at producing enlightened people with sound knowledge and noble character. In addition, its students must be able to work for the welfare of human being on the basis of spirituality. It should also give priority to undertake research, therefore it must provide research center to facilitate qualified researches of all branches of knowledge.Kata Kunci: pendidikan Islam, Universitas Islam, dualism, Syed Ali Ashraf

Abstract

This paper revealed the result of research regarding the position of teacher, focusing on the importance of empowering teachers of religious education in a multicultural society, such as Indonesia. Methodologically, it is a qualitative undertaking of literary research. Employing the technique of content analysis this study scrutinized features of a multicultural society, an exemplary profile of teachers of religious education, as well as how to empower this kind of teacher in order to fit in with a diverse society. The findings of this research are, multicultural society can be understood as a society that consists of several cultural communities with their overlapping but distinct conception of the world, a system of meaning, values, forms of social organizations, histories, customs, and practices. The idealized profile of a teacher of religious education is a type of teacher who meets the certain qualifications prescribed by Islamic teachings and is guided by the law and regulation in Indonesia, in particular.  Teacher of religious education has a very important role in preparing students to be good citizens in a multicultural society. Therefore the teacher of religious education must have an awareness that he or she is part of a multicultural society. The teacher should be empowered to instill in his or her students an inclusive religious understanding to make them tolerant and respectful of other people of different cultures and religions, which is essential in order to strengthen harmony and national unity.
