Abstract

As one of the main subjects in senior high school education, Islamic studies play an important role, even though it is not included in the final exam for third-grade students. Similar to the other teachers, the Islamic studies teacher also has challenges on implementing Islamic education based on the 2013 curriculum. Employing descriptive qualitative method, this research focused on describing what challenges that Islamic studies teachers faced during the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Data was collected from interview and observation. Data reduction was used as data being analyzed. This research was completed in 2015 and it took place in SMAN 1 Salatiga where the 2013 curriculum has been implemented since 2013/2014 and the implementation was one of the pilot projects of the school. This research finds out that individual differences and the complexity of evaluation standard are the main challenges for the teachers. Individual differences do not only apply to students but also teachers. The complexity of evaluation standard is also significant to challenge the teachers on implementing Islamic education based on a whole 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The religious counselor in North Mamuju has a significant role in building harmony in their area. The religious harmony in North Mamuju can be said quite harmonious. We knew this condition by looking at the indication of the religious counselor’s role on guiding and counseling the society. Through qualitative study, this research found some results. First, the moderate counseling model by moslem counselor is proven to improve religious harmony in society. Second, the affection method in Christian doctrine is proven can wreathe the Christian people in develop themselves naturally around moslem society. While in Hindu, the Tri Hita Kirana is used as a model to build religious harmony. The Tri Hita Kirana consists of the concept of relationship with God, with human, and also nature. Through those three model, the religious harmony can be achieved by emphasizing the believing-other attitude also respect and appreciate each other in social and nation life.[Penyuluh agama sebagai ujung tombak Kementerian Agama dalam membangun harmoni di masyarakat memiliki peran penting. Melalui penelitian kualitaif di Kabupaten Mamuju Utara, diperoleh tiga temuan sebagai berikut. Pertama, model penyuluhan secara moderat oleh penyuluh agama Islam, terbukti dapat meningkatkan kerukunan di masyarakat. Kedua, metode kasih dalam ajaran Kristen, mampu menjalin umat kristiani mengembangkan diri di tengah masyarakat muslim secara wajar. Sedangkan dalam agama Hindu, model untuk membangun kerukunan adalah dengan melaksanakan Tri Hita Kirana, yakni hubungan kepada Tuhan, manusia, dan alam. Melalui ketiga model tersebut, kerukunan akan dapat tercapai jika antarumat beragama mengedepankan sikap saling percaya, saling menghormati, dan saling menghargai dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara.]

Abstract

There are many variants of Islam in Indonesia that is influenced by culture. One of them is Islam Kalang. The Islam Kalang or Kalangese Moslem refers to Moslem people whose their ancestor is Kalang. Even though they are Moslem, they still perform the Kalangese traditions that are not in line with Islamic teaching. These traditions are still being held in their daily life in certain time. One of the factors that influenced their belief on the tradition is a suggestion. This qualitative research aims to describe the suggestion role of the Kalangese Moslem in preserving theKalangese’s traditions. Lumansari village in Kendal is one of the places where Kalangese Moslem resided. Based on the interviews and observation, it is found that suggestion has an important role in influencing Kalang people’s believes to conduct Kalang tradition until now. This suggestion happened because the requirements are fulfilled such as suggestion because of these following reasons thought hindrance, dissociation, majority, authority and willingness to believe. Three of those play significant roles in building Kalang people’s perspectives and  mindset, and even it can affect on their daily social interaction.
