Abstract

This research is aimed at finding out whether students’ active learning with discovery approach could improve the students’ understanding of basic science subject. The research used survey method. The population of this research was students who took the subject of Konsep Dasar IPA (the Basic Concept of Science) out of which one class was taken as sample. The data was then analyzed with descriptive technique with the help of graph. The result showed that 72% did not have sufficient understanding about the topic of energy and its transformation which was delivered without the help of learning aid and discussion. After learning aid was and discussion was facilitated by the lecturer, all the subjects of this research expressed their better improved understanding. Discovery method with experiment and discussion is crucial in helping students understand the basic concept of science. Key words: understanding, basic concept of science learning, students’ active learning, discovery technique.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Bumi dan Ruang Angkasa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran multimedia dan disakusi terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode PTK yaitu terdiri dari 4 tahapan mulai dari perencanaan, tindakan, evaluasi dan refleksi. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester IV kelas C yang mengambil mata kuliah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 67,7 pada tahun akademik 2009/2010 menjadi 81,2 pada 2019/2011. Jumlah mahasiswa didik yang mendapat nilai diatas 70 pada tahun akademik 2009/2010 mencapai 94,3%, sedangkan pada tahun sebelumnya baru mencapai 69,8%. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran multimedia dan diskusi terbimbing dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa

Abstract

Character education is also a vehicle for the socialization of characters that should be possessed by a human child to make them the noble creatures on earth. Character education requires habituation. Behavior of learners can be developed through character analysis that is developed within core competencies such as the character of responsibility. The sense of responsibility also influences students' learning achievement, while the character of cooperation can be raised in learning activities in class through group activities. In collecting data and information needed in research, the authors use data collection techniques or interviews with interviews, observations, and documentation. The character education of responsibility and cooperation in the 2013 curriculum thematic learning has been carried out in SD Negeri 2 Berkoh. In SD Negri 2 Berkoh Character of responsibility can be applied through doing homework, learning in class, doing assignments from the teacher while the character of cooperation can be applied through group work, playing in class, respecting the opinions of others. The implementation of responsibility character education and cooperation in the 2013 thematic learning at SD Negeri 2 Berkoh can be done through various activities such as learning activities, guidance, spontaneous activities, exemplary and habituation.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to ascertain if the problem-based learning approach has improved the learning results for class VI students at SD Negeri Karangtalun 02 Cilacap. 34 students in grade 6 SD Negeri Karangtalun 02, including 16 male and 18 female students, participated in this sort of classroom action research study. The poor scientific learning outcomes in the subject of electrical circuits are what spurred this investigation. Observation, testing, and documenting were the approaches employed for data collecting. There were two cycles to this study. The findings demonstrated that using problem-based learning to teach students about basic electrical circuits might enhance their learning outcomes. Pre-cycle students' average learning achievements were just 66.07 After using the PBL model, the average value rose to 74.57 in cycle I and to 84.29 in cycle II. According to these findings, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) teaching approach may increase scientific learning outcomes in class VI students' first semester at SD Negeri Karangtalun 02 by 91%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting teachers perceptions of Project inquiry Based Learning (PJIBL) at Gugus I SDN Sokaraja. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a survey approach involving 129 elementary school teacher respondents. The study focused on four main factors: teachers Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, teacher self-efficacy, teacher mindset towards PJIBL, and computational thinking skills. The results indicate that teachers ICT skills were categorized as high, with 82% of teachers demonstrating strong ability in utilizing technology during the learning process. Teacher self-efficacy was also found to be very high at 97%, reflecting teachers confidence in implementing PJIBL. The teacher mindset towards PJIBL was categorized as very high 99%, indicating a predominance of a growth mindset supporting the adoption of innovative methods. Meanwhile, computational thinking skills were categorized as high 74%, although some teachers still need to improve their analytical and problem-solving abilities. Overall, these four factors significantly affect teacher perceptions of PJIBL based learning. The findings highlight the importance of these factors in strengthening teachers readiness to face 21st-century learning challenges.
