Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the shrinked temperature of wet blue from goat an sheep skins that tanned by baychrome 2420, and for know amount of Cr2O3 was absorbed and axpelled. It was used 40 pieces goat and sheep skins (wet salted) preserved were tanned until wet blue used chromosal B and baychrome 2420 as chrome  tanning and the others auxiliary material were Na2S, lime, Oropon OR, NACl, HCOOH, H2SO4 etc. The results of this research showed that baychrome 2420 can used as material chrome tanning that wished for wet blue was the mean of shrinked temperature 100,670C, mean of Cr2O3 content 3,99%, and mean of Cr2O3 residue was expelled 1,54 g/l.  INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemasakan (shrinked temperature) kuit wet blue dari kulit kambing / domba yang dimasak dengan baychrome 2420, serta untuk mengetahui jumlah Cr2O3 yang terserap dan terbuang. Dengan menggunakan 40 lembar kulit kambing / domba  awet garaman diproses hingga wet blue dengan menggunakan chromosal B dan baychrome 2420 sebagai bahan penyamak krom serta bahan pembantu diantaranya Na2S, kapur, oropon OR NaCl, HCOOH, H2SO4, dan lain-lain. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa baychrome 2420 dapat digunakan sebagai bahan penyamak yang menghasilkan wet blue dengan suhu kerut rata-rata 100,670C, kadar Cr2O3 rata-rata 3,99 % serta Cr2O3 yang terbuang rata-rata 1,54 g/l.

Abstract

Polypropylene is the most important polymer in poliolafine. In this study polypropylene is added with kaolin, in the batch, the varied time used for moulding was 13, 15, 17 19, and 21 minutes, while the temperature and pressure was 190 C, 150 kg/cm2.The porpuse of the varied time used is to detect how for the influence of time to words of hardness and impact resistance of polypropylene prepared for shoe last.It can be found from the result that time does not have influence on the impact resistance of polypylene compound used for shoe last, but the longer the time used the hardness will be decreased.The highest test result of hardness and impact resistance was achived by polypropylene compound which was moulded in 13 minutes (75,53 shore D, 2,5831 kg cm/cm).

Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out the maximum quantity of Minarex as plasticizer which can be added in making compound PVC hose which fulfills the requirements of JIS K. 6771-77 “Flexible Vinyl Tube. Materials used are PVC resin added by additives, i.e DOP, BaCdZn, Stearic Acid, dyes and Minarex as DOP substitution. They all must be mixed and feed to two roll mill homogenizing. Temperature of operational is within 50-800C, roll speed is approximately 10 and 8,6 rpm. Then the compound is moulded into slab form using hydraulic press machine at 1700C, pressure 150 kg/cm2for 10 minutes. The slab is tested its physical properties including tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile strength after accelerated aging, and also observed organoleptically. Based on the research, compound with Minarex substitution 10 parts still conform to JIS K. 6771-77 and the appearance is good.   INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah maksimum minarex yang dapat ditambahkan pada pembuatan kompon slang PVC yang memenuhi persyaratan JIS K 6771-77 “Flexible Vinyl Tube”. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah resin PVC ditambah dengan bahan pembantu DOP, Ba Cd Zn, Asam Stearat, Zat warna dan minarex sebagai bahan substitusi DOP. Semua bahn dicampur dengan mixer kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mesin two roll mill, supaya bahan dapat tercampur homogen. Suhu operasi antara 50 – 800C, dan kecepatan roll masing-masing 10 rpm dan 8,6 rpm. Setelah itu kompon dicetak dengan hydraulic press pada suhu 1700C, tekanan 150 kg/cm2 dan waktu 10 menit. Hasilnya berupa slab yang kemudian diuji terhadap sifat fisikanya yang meliputi tegangan putus, perpanjangan putus, perubahan tegangan putus setelah pengusangan, perubahan perpanjangan putus setelah pengusangan dan juga dilakukan pengamatan secara organoleptis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompon dengan jumlah substitusi minarex sebesar 10 bagian masih memenuhi persyaratan JIS K 6771-77 dan kenampakan komponnya baik.
