Abstract

Development of Forest Management Units (KPH) has been established as a strategic objective for better forest management and requires full support from all parties in implementing it. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the region in realizing the effectiveness and efficiency of forest management in the FMU Tona Orima FMU management area and to analyze the more intensive, optimal and sustainable Implementation of FMU Development in the FMU TU Orima FMU management area. This research was conducted at KPH Unit X Tina Orima, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Data collection was done by purposive sampling. The population in this study were all regions, communities and KPH employees / staff. Thus, the sample size is determined based on consideration of the selection of respondents based on the position and mastery of the knowledge / ability of the respondents involved in the Implementation of the Unit X Tina Orima Forest Management Unit in Bombana, Southeast Sulawesi. Data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis and spatial analysis. The results showed that the Implementation of FMU Development starts from the determination of the area, with inseparable how to consider the characteristics of the area because it is one of the important factors in the management of FMU development in implementing wiser forest use. Implementation of FMU Development provides a solution to face obstacles and challenges in FMU development, as well as the formation of strengthening cooperation between institutions and parties. Thus the FMU can be a key institution for realizing forest sustainability and community welfare within the FMU management unit Tina Orima, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, towards FMU independence.Keywords    : Implementation ,KPH, ,Regional Characteristics

Abstract

This study aims to determine the biomass and the amount of carbon found in Sengon stands (Falcataria moluccana)   community forest in the location of planting KBR (Kebun Bibit Rakyat) in Jati Bali Village, Ranomeeto Barat District, South Konawe Regency. This research was conducted from July to August 2018. The population in this study included a community forest of which was the location of planting KBR in 2014 with a plant age range of 5 years determined by purposive sampling. The sample in this study were all sengon stands (Falcataria moluccana) found in the observation plot determined using amethod completely randomized design (CRD).The results showed that the biomass found in Sengon stands (Falcataria moluccana) in community forests where the community nursery was planted in 2014, the amount of biomass based on the place of growing was wet enough, the place to grow wet and where to grow dry were 3,20 ton/ha, 0,60 ton/ha, and 1,68 ton/ha. While the amount of carbon in Sengon stands  (Falcataria moluccana) in community forests the location of community nursery plantations in 2014 was obtained at 1,50 ton/ha at the place of growing wet enough, 0,28 ton/ha at the place to grow wet and 0,79 ton/ha at the place of dry growth . Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis anggrek epifit pada ekosistem hutan hujan dataran rendah Mandu-Mandula di Taman Nasional Rawa AopaWatumohai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode jelajah (Survey Eksploratif) dengan menjelajahi hutan dataran rendah Mandu-Mandula. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis Anggrek epifit yang ditemukan sebanyak 9 jenis antara lain Vanda miniata (Lindl.) L.M.Gardiner., Cleisostomasimondii (Gagnep.) Seidenf., Cymbidium finlaysonianumWall ex. Lindl., Dendrobium crumenatumSwatz., Dendrobium litoraleSchltr., Dendrobium sp., Luisiajavanica J.J. Smith, Taeniophyllum sp., dan Vandopsislissochiloides (Gaud.) Pfitz.
