Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk megetahui level penambahan silase limbah ikan terbang (Exocoetidae) terhadap profil lemak darah pada itik periode layer. Penelitian dilakuakan selama 42 hari dengan masa adaptasi selama 14 hari di kandang percobaan Fakultas Peternakan dan Perikanan Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Rancangan peneltian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 Perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, dengan masing-masing ulangan diisi 2 ekor itik, sehingga itik yang digunakan adalah 40 ekor. Itik yang digunakan berumur 20 minggu dengan berat 1500 ± 80 gram. Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri atas P0 = Ransum basal, P1 =Ransum basal + 5% silase limbah ikan terbang, P2 = Ransum + 7,5% silase limbah ikan terbang,P3 = Ransum basal + 10% silase ikan terbang. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar kolesterol, trigliserida, HDL, dan LDL darah. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan anova dengan uji lanjut jarak berganda duncant. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar kolesterol darah berkisar 92,8-200,6 mg/dl, Trigliserida 66,6-200,3 mg/dl, HDL berkisar 41,7-75,2 mg/dl, LDL berkisar 31,6-94,6 mg/dl. Hasil anova menunjukan bahwa penambahan silase limbah ikan terbang kadar kolesterol darah berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05), namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05) terhadap kadar trigliserida, HDL, dan LDL. Penambahan silase limbah ikan terbang 10% (P3) cenderung menurunkan kadar kolesterol darah itik periode layerKata Kunci: kolesterol, HDL, ttik, LDL, trigliseridaBlood Lipid Profile of Laying Ducks Given Dietary Supplementation of Flying Fish (Exocoetidae) Waste SilageABSTRACTThis experiment aimed to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of flying fish (exocoetidae) waste silage (FFWS) on the blood lipid profile of laying ducks. The experiment was conducted in the experimental farm of the Faculty of Animal and Fisheries Sciences, Universitas Sulawesi Barat for 42 d which is started with 14 d of the adaptation period. A total of 40 laying ducks weighing 1500-1600 g were maintained for 20 weeks and subjected to 4 dietary treatments with 5 replicates according to a completely randomized design (CRD), giving a total of 20 experimental units. The treatments were: P0 = control diet; P1 = control diet + 5% FFWS; P2 = control diet + 7,5% FFWS; and P4 = control diet + 10% FFWS. Variables observed were cholesterol, triglycerides (TG), HDL, and LDL concentrations. Results showed that the concentrations of cholesterol, TG, HDL, and LDL were 92,8-200,6 mg/dL, 66.6-200,3 mg/dL, 41,7-75,2 mg/dL, and 31,6 – 94,6 mg/dl, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that dietary FFWS supplementation had a significant effect on blood lipid concentration (p<0.05) but did not influence the concentrations of TG, HDL, and LDL (p>0.05). Supplementing FFWS into the laying ducks diet at 10% tended to reduce cholesterol blood concentration of laying ducks.   Keywords: cholesterol, HDL, laying ducks,  LDL, trigliserida
