Abstract

Maternal deaths in developing countries one of the causes is anemia in pregnancy, an increasing proportion of pregnant women with anemia. One effort to prevent and overcome the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women is maternal class program which aims to increase knowledgeand skill of mothers about pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care and newborn care, through practice by using KIA book ( Child Mother Health). The purpose of this study is to determine the effectivenessof learning systems of pregnant mothers class in reducing of anemia in the District Grogol Sukoharjo District. This type of research is Quasi-Exsperimental Design, using Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampling by Consecutive sampling technique with the number of 40 respondents for each group.Measure of hemoglobin level using cyanmethemoglobin, andstattistic analysis using MannWhitneytest. The result showed that the average of maternal and non maternalclass knowledge was 86.9 + 76.5, the mean of anemia onmaternal and non maternal class was 11.9 g/dl and 11.2 g/dl.Based on the result of statistical test, there is difference of knowledge between maternal and nonmaternal class (p = 0,000), and there is difference of anemia between maternal and non maternal class(p = 0,001). The conclusion of riset was there is difference of knowledge and anemia between maternaland maternal class. Keywords : maternal class, Anemia

Abstract

Abstract:  Homeschooling is one of informal education institutions the existence of which had gotten legality. Through typical learning method, Homeschooling could be an education alternative for parents and children reluctantly attending formal education. The objectives of research were to find out the Social Science learning plan in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo, to find out the assessment of Social Science learning in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo, and to find out the constraints of Social Science in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo. This study was a descriptive qualitative research with case study strategy. Techniques of collecting data employed were interview, observation, and document analysis. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data validation was conducted using triangulation. Technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model of analysis encompassing data collection, data display and conclusion drawing. From the result of research, it could be concluded that 1) tutor implemented the learning plan by developing syllabus and RPP, 2) Social Science learning was conducted in community and distance learning methods; the procedure of learning was carried out in three stages: introduction, main activity and closing, but the tutor had not implemented each stage completely yet; the method used was varied but the tutor still dominated the learning course. 3) In the assessment process, tutor used formative assessment, summative assessment and portfolio; 4) The constraints found during learning process included tutor encountered difficulty during teaching the material beyond his/her discipline, tutor found difficultly the appropriate method to attract the student interest and motivation, the lack of time effectiveness in learning.Keywords: Homeschooling, Social Science Learning.

Abstract

The development of technology and communication has a big influence on all fields of life including in the field of education. Creativity and innovation is needed in developing learning media including in learning history. The purpose of this research is to obtain: 1) description of the use of learning media in the learning process in the field, 2) obstacles faced by lecturer in Indonesian history up to the 15th century learning 3) media formulations needed in learning Indonesian History. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and analysis of documents. The informan were selected through purposive sampling. Data validation used triangulation. Data analysis techniques used interactive analysis models including data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The result of the research shows that 1) Lecturer has used learning media as a learning resource in the learning process, but are still less varied. The media used is still limited to the use of powerpoint which displays images and text only. 2) The constraints faced by the lecturer in delivering the material about the muara jambi temple are limited references and learning resources. 3) Media that needs to be developed in learning is video
