Abstract

AbstractThis article is based on a research study aimed at finding out the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process of writing in the 2nd grade of the state elementary school.The study was a classroom action research and the subjects were the teachers and students of the 2nd grade of the State Elementary School of Ngaglik, Sardonoharjo. The research consisted of three cycles. The study involved the teachers and the principal, who were concerned with improvements in the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process in the 2nd grade of the state elementary school. All of them were involved in (1) the discussion and unification of ideas concerning the effectivenessof the teaching-learning process in the 2nd grade to identify and formulate the research problem, (2) the planning of the actions, (3) the implementation of the actions, (4) the observation of the implementation,(5) the reflections on the results of the implementation, (6) the revision of the actions and evaluation of their implementation, and (7) the drawing of conclusions concerning the results.The results of the research were as follows: (1) the process approach and drawings as media could improve (a) students writing skill, (b) their learning motivation, and (c) their attention; (2) students activities in the State Elementary School of Ngaglik, Sardonoharjo, improved after the implementation of the actions, (3) the teachers were able to construct the design of action research on the teaching-learning process of writing using the process approach and drawings as media; and (4) the school principal, teachers, and students responded to the implementation of the teaching-learning process using the process approach and drawings as media positively.Key words: the writing skill, the process approach, drawings as media

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the research is to improve: (a) the student reading skill at the first grade of elementary school, (b) the learning reading motivation, (c) the learning reading attention, and (d) the activity of the learning reading at the first grade of elementary school. This study is a classroom action research and the subjects are the teacher and the students of the first grade of Sapen, Yogyakarta Elementary School. The research consists of three cycles. The study involved, the teacher of the improving of the effectiveness of the teaching learning reading in the first grade of state Elementary School. The results of this research are as follows:a) the students reading skill, b) the learning reading motivation c) the attention; The Elementary School students activity in Sapen, Yogyakarta gets improvement after giving the implementation of the action; the teacher is able to construct the design of action research on reading learning teaching by using the reinforcement and drawing media; the teacher and the students respond the implementation of the teaching learning reading using reinforcement role and drawing media positively. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran menulis dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses dan media gambar di kelas II SD Negeri, Ngaglik, Sardonoharjo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Pengumpulan data melalui pengamatan dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi dengan wawancara, angket dan pengamat lain. Teknik analisis data untuk prestasi belajar menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan data tentang intensitas aktivitas menggunakan metode alur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menulis dengan menggunakan pendekatan proses dan media gambar berhasil meningkatkan : (1) keterampilan menulis siswa naik sebesar 17, 44 dari skor rata-rata 54,43 menjadi 71,87; (2) motivasi belajar naik sebesar 33,4 %, dari 63,3 % menjadi 96,7 %; (3) perhatian naik sebesar 30 %, dari 66,7 % menjadi 96,7%; (4) aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 56,6 %, dari 36,7 % menjadi 93,3 %. Kata kunci: keterampilan menulis, pendekatan proses, dan media gambar
