Abstract

This study analyzes the lighting system of XYZ Building based on the lighting standard SNI 6197:2020. Based on the measurement results, the majority of rooms have light intensity below the established standard. The primary contributing factors include the use of inappropriate lamp types, an insufficient number of lighting points, dark-colored walls that absorb light, and a lack of proper lamp maintenance. The analysis indicates that although the lighting power per square meter is relatively efficient, visual comfort is not achieved. Recommended improvements include replacing old lamps with high-intensity LED lights, adjusting the lamp layout, and changing wall colors to enhance light reflectivity. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to improve lighting quality, ensuring compliance with the established standards. This study provides a crucial foundation for improving lighting systems in similar buildings to enhance energy efficiency and user comfort.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze power consumption and evaluate the potential energy savings of the lighting system in the DEF Building, which has various room functions including offices, laboratories, meeting rooms, and libraries. The study was conducted with a descriptive quantitative approach based on field measurement data. Data collection includes measuring lighting intensity (lux), inventory of types and number of lamps, and power consumption (watt). The measurement results were compared with the Indonesian National Standard SNI 6197:2020 to assess the minimum lighting level and maximum power limit. In addition, a simulation of replacing conventional lamps with LED lamps was carried out using Dialux Evo software. The results showed that most rooms had power consumption per square meter that was still efficient (<12 W/m²), but many rooms did not meet the minimum lighting standards. The simulation of replacing lamps with LEDs resulted in significant power savings, with a total reduction in energy consumption of 928.93 kWh per month or equivalent to electricity cost savings of around Rp1,362,997.48. Replacing lamps was also able to improve the quality of lighting in rooms that previously did not meet the standards. This study shows that effective lighting system management through LED lamp retrofitting can be an important strategy in supporting building energy efficiency.

Abstract

Increasing energy efficiency is one of the most important functions for reducing energy costs as well as production costs. One way to reduce the use of electrical energy consumption is by saving energy. This study aims to determine how much energy savings at PT ABC through an energy audit. An energy audit is carried out with two main activities, namely identifying the profile of patterns of electricity use and analysis of power quality. The results of the analysis are then expected to be the basis for knowing the potential for energy savings and energy conservation in the industry. The method used in this study begins with field observations, measurements of electrical systems, and measurements of production machines and production support equipment. Based on some data, both primary data and secondary data, an analysis is carried out through calculations to determine potential energy-saving opportunities. The main energy source used at PT. ABC is from PLN with 1 subscription to a 3-phase system with an installed power of 197 kVA. Energy use or consumption for a year is 804,279.97 kWh. Opportunities for energy savings through energy audits that have been carried out are expected to have an impact on the company, namely energy cost savings of IDR 137,344,162 per year

Abstract

Abstract

Banyu Bening, an independent community group providing clean water and sanitation services, faces challenges related to energy consumption and water distribution management. The primary issue addressed was the high electricity cost for operating water pumps during the early stages of the business. This problem was particularly critical as the group was newly established and required appropriate technology to overcome these obstacles. Therefore, the main objective of this Community Service Program was to address Banyu Bening’s problems—specifically, the high electricity consumption and low water pressure in the distribution network. The problem-solving process involved several steps: situation analysis, focus group discussions (FGD), material identification, assembly and testing, installation, community socialization, and evaluation. The implemented solution was the installation of a 2kWp solar power system. The final assessment revealed that the system operates optimally, successfully reducing electricity costs by 70 percent.
