Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the influence of the use of a catalyst (zeolite) against kinetic rate results of tar pyrolysis of sawdust mahogany. research process undertaken experimentally with temperature 523K and 873K on the heating rate 673 K/hour. pyrolysis is done for 3 hours with wood powder particle size 0,5 – 1 mm. before use activated zeolite in advance by means of heated at a temperature of 400 °c for 1 hour. the results showed the value of kinetic rate tar with zeolites greater than without zeolites , where the value of the kinetic rate equation obtained i.e. 𝑘 = 185,49. 𝑒 −2779/𝑇 (heating rate 673 K/hour without zeolite) and 𝑘 = 93,037. 𝑒 (heating rate 673 K/hour with zeolite). The results of the validation shows the value addition in the calculation of the volume is already approaching the actual value.

Abstract

The application of the 3 phase induction motor is increasingly developing, this has led to research on speed regulation of 3 phase induction motors is also growing, because the use in industry and especially in hybrid vehicles is increasingly being developed. However, there are several disadvantages of an induction motor, one of which is the non-linear parameter characteristics, especially the rotor resistance, which varies in value for different operating conditions, so that it cannot maintain its speed constantly when a load changes. Therefore, to get constant speed and better system performance against load changes, a controller is needed. This study aims to implement the vector control method in the 3 phase induction motor speed control application in following the reference speed. In vector modeling, the 3 phase parameters (ia, ib and ic) will be transformed into direct quadrature (dq) parameters where in this parameter the setting of the field size and torque can be adjusted separately. In the implementation results, it can be seen that the use of vector control can be used as an approach in regulating the speed of an induction motor.

Abstract

This research aims to facilitate a more even fish maturation process due to the rotation process of the fish rack which is regulated by the system in Mechanism Timer and Temperature at the Fish Smoking machine. The smoking machine can also make it easier for people to smoke fish. It has an overall height of 150 cm, door height of 110 cm, Fuel tank height of 30 cm, and foot height of 10 cm, in the fish smoking room there are 2 fish tray racks. The fuel for the smoking machine uses coconut husk and the coconut shell is equipped with a Digital Thermostat to read the temperature in the room and is also equipped with a Thermohygro to read the humidity in the room. The working principle of this tool is that the first step is to connect the multi-plug to the power source, from the power source to the MCB, the MCB gets current and when the MCB is turned on, the current enters the Push Button Switch, and when the Push Button On is pressed, the red light turns on, indicating there is the current that enters the Digital Thermostat digital from the Thermostat to the plug terminal, from the plug terminal to the Timer and from the Timer to the Power Supply From the Power Supply changes the current from 220 volts to 12 volts when the green light is on then the Power Window functions by moving the fish rack tray.

Abstract

Chips are a type of snack or snack made from tubers such as cassava and bananas which are usually produced by home businesses. However, most home-based chips making businesses still use manual tools such as kitchen knives or cutters so that production takes longer, the thickness cannot be adjusted and the risk of workers' hands being injured by knives is added. This cassava and banana chopper uses a driving motor system that is driven by an electric motor with a speed of 1400 RPM HP and the pusher is driven by a power window. The results of this tool chopping obtained thickness in cassava and banana is 1-1.5 mm which is the standard thickness of chips in general. In addition, the results obtained are faster production compared to manual techniques using a kitchen knife or cutter. The conclusion is that the cassava and banana chopper with a driving motor is very efficient for chip craftsme, because the production time is faster and the thickness of the cassava and banana slices is uniform, namely 1-1.5 mm.

Abstract

The making of this shallot peeling machine is intended for farmers and catering entrepreneurs to facilitate the process of peeling shallots. The research and design of this machine were conducted at the Poluteknik campus and Sirarata workshop, Sibowi Village, Tanambulava District. Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This shallot peeling machine is very simple, using an electric motor with a speed of 1400 rpm as a driving force. This peeler rubber serves to peel the shallot skin. The result of this research is the creation of an shallot peeling machine with a frame length of 75 cm, a width of 40 cm, and a height of 88 cm so that the peeling results can help shallot farmers.
